#hairgate...? What is this, does this even

I really don't understand why people immediately jump on iPhone users complaining about something like this. Do you think they're lying? Or "trolling"? I mean, if several people are reporting having their beard stubble yanked on by the 6 then why immediately dismiss them as "clueless" or "just finding something to complain about"?

I actually shave infrequently when I can get away with it but have not yet received my iPhone 6 so I can't comment one way or the other as to whether I, personally, have experienced this issue.

Apple lovers go on and on (me included) as to the engineering, fit and finish of the iPhone. How perfectly it's designed and nearly flawless. So how the WORLD could it be causing issues, right? (a little sarcasm there)

Do I think this is a "gate" issue? Should all iPhones be recalled? Should Miami Vice lovers be given a case so their cool stubble doesn't get pulled?

Of course not.

But, geez...give folks a break! Maybe, just maybe they are not trolling or "just complaining because they have to complain".

Were not doubting or calling this ********, it's just kind of mind boggling though, ... Like how does this occur? How does hair get caught in the ridiculously tiny gap between the glass and aluminum body? It seems like this would happen to girls mostly, or people with longer hair, but do people also talk with their phone/earpiece over their hair? If I had long hair I would defitnetly push my hair to the side so that the phone is touching my bare skin on my ear lol

This actually happens to me on my 6+ and happened with the 5S. When talking on the phone a hair will get pulled as it gets stuck between the glass and the metal case. I Don't have a case in the phone itself.

I actually think they're referring to facial hair. Unless I read it wrong? Sideburns maybe?

If it were a Galaxy, people would be saying ''shamesung quality'' and the like.

Apple devices do NOT have problems at all. They are perfect. It works as ''designed''.

How? Why? Was your device defective and the gap wasn't completly sealed off that seals the glass and aluminum body together? The 6 Plus and 6 have the same exact design so it shouldnt and isnt any different

I don't know. I looked and nothing seemed to be wrong or odd.

You'll know immediately if yours has it. I didn't even think to complain (I thought I was holding it wrong lol) but my 6 doesn't have it so I'm happy.

Apple could spin #hairgate into a positive by saying it could save you money on haircuts/beard trims.

For what it's worth, I've had to pull some hair and lint out of my iPhone 6 from being in my pocket. It has the tendency to grip tiny bits of hair between the glass and aluminum.

Guys, this issue is REAL!. I use my iPhone with my left hand mostly. This is a pic of me after 14 days with my new iphone 6 plus lol

This happened to me on one of my iPhones... maybe a couple of them. I usually use the earbuds to talk on the phone though so no probs there.

I am willing to bet, that where hair is getting caught on the iphone6/6+, if hair is getting caught on the iphone, is at the volume buttons. The minor gap between the buttons and the aluminum shell.

I just took my 6+ and rubbed it all over my head. Sides, bottom, top, glass screen, etc... Guess what, nothing. I have short hair on the sides of my head so if it is going to get caught, mine would do it.

The only place that i believe it would be possible would be the volume buttons on the phone.

There is a very simple solution for this.................get a case. A thin hard shell, a silicone case, an otterbox, unicorn beatle, Spigen, etc.....

Problem solved.

End hairgate. It is a no go.

while true with the Shamesung thing, look at the publicity difference between the two companies products. This is just personal observation but in the last week, all I keep seeing are bendgate videos or post or threads. I think I've seen one article about the Note 4's gap between the screen and frame, big enough to fit a business card in.

Maybe if I was on Android forums bashing their products it would get more hype than I am seeing at the moment.

But my point, I think because Apple is a bigger target with more devices being shipped and sold than some of Samsung's devices, they are constantly bashed. Unfortunately I guess it something that goes with the territory of being able to sell 4 million devices in a single weekend. How many S5's or Note 4's were sold in two days? What about a month. And I said sold, not shipped. Big difference. Inventory sitting in Walmart's warehouse waiting for someone to maybe buy it doesn't count.
