What is hamburger helper?

I looked around and couldn'tfind anything
You might have to look under "Kangaroo Helper"

:D

So its not actually a hamburger product, more a sort of all in one meal. I have to say that looks disgusting

and emw i think i will make some kangaroo burgers this week, you can get it in supermarkets fresh over here, brilliant, here skippy:)

Yeah, basically you brown some cow, stir in water, the pasta mix and some scary looking seasoning packet and ten minutes later you have beef stroganoff.

Good ****.

I'll take your word on that, if we could get it over here i have to say i would probably try it i am a sucker for quick and easy:eek:

I still don't understand the reasoning behind hamberuger helper, when quite clearly it is not a hamburger so to speak

Right you are. That's why it is called hamburger helper.

We call ground beef hamburger here. We're ****ed up as all hell.

It's supposedly supposed to 'help' the 'hamburger' grow up and become a complete meal. Don't know how it is where you live, but over here ground beef and hamburger are usually interchangable terms.

Edit: Gary beat me to it, but he forgot to tell you that HH isn't really food and shouldn't be eaten unless you're starving and/or desperate ;)

Here we call it mince. And that's also a meal - mince and tatties. :)

Beter than eating spotted dick. :p

*gag* (BTW what happened to your demi god status)

You'd be suprised how good the brits are at making winter deserts, i have never eaten one i didn't like, having said that nothing beats a good pavlova with strawberries and lamingtons.

We also call it "minced" meat, ground makes no sense:confused:

Now mincemeat is something we put in Christmas cake or desserts (or puddings, as we call them :D ).

edit: iGary - HP? Mmmmm. I used to live in Edinburgh and in the fish and chip shops instead of asking if you wanted salt and vinegar, they'd ask if you wanted salt and 'sauce'. The 'sauce' was like HP, but watered down with vinegar and pehaps a couple of other ingredients (I have no idea). It was amazing. :)

Sadly, when I was little my mum wouldn't let us have HP, because you can clean the gunge off old pennies with it, and she used to say "Imagine what that could do to your stomach!". Mmmm, HP. :D
