I was a bit confused about what Continuity was using: Bluetooth, no Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi + same network, no Wi-Fi…

So I tried all the combinations, and made a short video to explain it.

I see some people saying they go to the right app, but the text is not transferred, like it should be in Mail for example. For this, Bluetooth is not enough, Wi-Fi is also required (although the two devices don't need to be on a common network).

Excellent video! Explained it all so very well. Thumbs up from me.

Great Work Aurélien! Thank You

I can handoff webpages etc from my iPhone 5 to my iPad Air and vice versa. However, when I start an email on my phone as depicted in the excellent video linked, there is no email icon showing up in the bottom left hand corner on the iPad Air screen.

Edited to add: I turned off / turned back on handoff on both devices, and now the mail icon shows on the bottom left corner of the iPad Air.
