Automatic downloads. He didn't trick us, iOS 5 and the App Store tricked him.

Absolutely is, just found it in the App Store with a quick search.

I wonder if there is any way to have it speak the "this may help you" results from Wolfram Alpha... Seeing it on the screen is one thing, but since some answers can be spoken, why not all? (Maybe with the VoiceOver screen reader on it will do that? But any way to enable full voice both ways when using Siri but not the rest of the phone?)

This is really astonishing. Although I probably would not use Siri very often, I do think that it might come handy at many occasions. I hope that the JB community figures out a way to enable Siri on the iPhone 4.

I read that Siri depends on a dedicated AI chip... so if that's the case... then no. Won't happen.

Speed Limit

I would like to know if Siri can tell me what the current speed limit is on the road I'm driving on.

Fair enough, but I'd imagine the "Steinway & Sons" would stick out just a bit...Also, he would have had to download from another device it in the first place for it the be downloaded automatically. The App Store doesn't just throw various junk at you...usually.

It relies on an external server to parse instructions and return the result as far as I understand. Call that 'AI Chip' if you will. Teardowns should reveal more soon enough (who made the Camera lens, for example).

So where did he get an iPhone 4s first than anywhere in the world? Kind of curious no one has asked that before...

one million orders and he ends up with one?

My nan could have done a better review than that.

Anyone notice he had iCloud activated?

he owes you nothing and iCloud has been activated on my iPhone 4 for the past week

some people in germany already got it from t-mobile.

why don't people actually ask it difficult crap rather than stupid stuff they already know works.

"How much was gold worth in 1850?"

"Set me to work friday 5, saturday at 6 and sunday at 5 and remind me an hour before hand with wind chimes"

"Give me a clever joke about people drinking in a bar"

Can it do these (or some of) these things?

the activation command (long press) should have been shortened by a second or so. It takes way too long

Wonder, can you get Siri to take picture. Like get it to go into the camera app, auto focus what ever is in the field of view & capture it!?

In the second video why did the guy keep pushing the microphone button?!?! It annoyed the crap out of me.

I'll be talking to Siri so much when I get this phone.
I hope she doesn't get tired of me and tell me to leave her alone.

Honestly, having not seen the keynote, until I saw the German kid not tapping the mic after every second word I assumed (based on the stuff.tv video) that you had to. It seemed so awkward.

u always have to push it before asking another question as far as i know
You have to push it before, but not after (as the guy in the second video did). He was basically telling it "I'm done talking" with the second tap, but Siri should realize that based on extended silence.
