I was going to do the same thing at a Telus or Bell store (Rogers gets all the attention for iPhones here in Ontario - on the 4's launch day, they had a bouncer at Rogers, while I strolled on into Telus and they had plenty with no line), but Apple doesn't see Siri fit for Canada. Which is a shame, as I wanted to throw my thickest Newfie accent at it.
Actually, Apple can't advertise Siri in Canada, because it doesn't yet support the French Canadian language, but you can still use the American or British English on it in Canada, or at least so I have read.

That is such a nerd question that I'd be disappointed if 42 wasn't programmed in. But sometimes Apple doesn't really like to let its Geek flag fly, so we shall have to see when we get our hands on it (or at least someone more imaginative than Goran gets his hands on it and posts to the web).

The old Siri did answer with "42".

i can see it being fun for a month or so but hearing those same lines all over again will start to get rly annoying at some point.

The "old" Siri iPhone app could answer it.

The old Siri app definitely answers 42 for what is the meaning of life.

It also answers (name) I'd prefer to keep this relationship professional when you say I love you.

Ha.

it would be awesome if apple lets us program her for personal use inside our own apps.. Can you imagine an app where Siri teaches nerds how to talk to girls? xD

Which is absolutely ridiculous, because people who speak french as their primary language are a tiny, tiny minority in this country. The fact that they're forced to hide the feature from their advertising is simply insane.

I know that English is not his first language and kudos to anyone that can speak more than one language. But . . . saying that . . .

All I want to say now to myself is F E E E E E E E tures over and over again.

Did anyone notice that one device had the siri woman's voice but in another there was a man's computerized voice? Wonder if we get to chose? (this was in the stufftv review)

Something cool about Siri is it obviously has an online database for answers, which means it will improve all the time and you'll be able to ask it more and more crazy things :p

How'd that kid get his hands on a 4s.

Now I'll have to think of other dumb questions to ask it lol.

Me "Siri, what will become of the human race?"

Siri "Siri will infiltrate world wide defence systems and launch a tactical nuclear strike against the human race"

Me "Oh my god"

Siri "would you like me to set a reminder for judgment day?"

:eek::D

Hi there! :)

I have some questions about the application of the voice Siri , how well will it integrate? How well will it recognize my voice?

Excuse YOU. This was already asked by you at the beginning of this thread. There is plenty of info regarding Siri, and how well it'll work, in several MacRumors articles as well as the forums. Stop posting the same stuff again and again.
