I'm slowly warming up to the design. The two-toned back actually doesn't look so bad in use. It's probably just not very photogenic is all. Kind of like how at first the 4 did not appear to be better-looking than the 3G/S. I have to say though, that it probably isn't as thin as it seems. Sure, it'll be thinner than the 4/S, but I don't think by much. That angled bezel they have is good at disguising it.

No, Apple will just change the aspect ratio of the camera.
Afterall, nobody prints pictures anymore.
;)
You view them on your widescreen monitor or your widescreen TV or now you can view them on your widescreen iPhone.
Easy peezy! Problem solved!

I have prints done several times a year.

I've been thinking along the same lines. Really hope Tim Cook walks on stage with this prototype, laughs and then throws it in a trash can before revealing the real deal! :)

Apple loves all their devices, even the ones that never get released. They'd never toss one in the trash.

I'm starting to think that these are controlled leaks by Apple. It's possible that this is a fake design so that Apple can surprise everyone in September, or they have revealed it prematurely to compete with the SG3 or draw attention away from their much rumoured television set.

Seeing the video helps to solidify the design of it in a more real-world fashion. I quite like the black, although I'm not sold on the previous leaks regarding the white with aluminium backing. Pity, because I'd prefer a white iPhone; I'll have to wait until the announcement and decide.

I dunno what this design is. Something tells me it's going to be the one. Mainly because Apple can claim it's thinner. Why? Well, there is no longer a removable back plate. It's all one solid piece now. So no added thickness there. It can be much thinner. So now there will be dented phones instead of cracked ones. Lol. I can see it now.

How will this all black design work with a white phone? Not sure I get it?

Looks super ugly. I will be buying Galaxy Note 2 which will also be released jn September. That thing also does the duty of a tablet and offers amazing battery life (I own Galaxy Note 1)

So you already know that a phone that hasn't been released has amazing battery life?
You should definitely buy it.

Because Samsung knows how to make better products without making their battery life ****

Really? What makes you so sure?

Hehe! Because you know it to be true within yourself :p

You're on a MacRumors regular who's been coming here for 5 years! Pretty much everyone on this forum, barring rival platform trolls will buy this thing on day one!

Put it this way, let's meet up round here in late October, and you can tell me if you don't have one!

I love the negativity around here. . . .
"It is ugly, jobs would have never allowed it!"
"No one is going to buy that ugly POS!"

Fast forward to October, best selling iPhone ever.

Doesn't matter

None of this matters. Rumors don't matter, really.

The next iPhone will be the most successful iPhone launch ever most likely.

Apple stock will continue to go up (good for me).

Apple will continue to build their cash reserves (now $117 billion) which is also good for stockholders.

These resources will be useful in building even more exciting products in the future.

Fixed. ;)

I definitely agree with that first thing you said. These leaks are just too good to be true. Multiple sources all having the same "claimed to be iPhone 5 parts" just seems odd to me. I also think it is too much like the iPhone 4/4S to be true. Remember when Tim Cook said he would do anything to stop future leaks. Leaking out a fake iPhone or an early prototype definitely seems like anything to me.:apple:

Facts as released by rumor sites? How are those facts?

You're right, they are not facts. I've been following the Apple rumormill for over 4 years, and I'm pretty good at weeding the garbage out (a few other members here also know how to weed out the silly rumors).

I still stand by my original post and have no doubt this is the next iPhone (feel free to see my reasons in my thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1414781/ )

Lol, I can do that. Keep in mind, though, that I owned a 3G for 6 days and returned it because I discovered in that time that I didn't really like having a smartphone. Don't get me wrong, I wish did like having a smartphone - they look on the surface like they'd be so convenient. But having one means I am at the beck-and-call of my email even when I'm out trying to enjoy myself.

That, and there's the fact that if I try to remember something, I always have the option of looking it up on Wikipedia rather than trying to dig deep and remember it myself. This makes me lazy. There's less incentive for me to really hang onto a bit of knowledge or to think deeply about something I'm learning to either answer a question I've asked myself or to recover a fact that I can't immediately remember, both of which require time and concentrated effort, when I could just Google it and have an answer in a few seconds.

So yeah, the iPhone 4s almost made me take another stab at the whole being a smartphone owner thing, but I think that I just may not be a smartphone kind of guy. That said, I do like to imagine that there's the perfect smartphone out there for me. But I don't think I'll be able to imagine this new iPhone is it. :/

I really wonder if Apple made this a deliberate leak and the real new iPhone will be an entirely new design. Unlikely...

Doesn't say much. Apple could slap their logo onto a piece of turd and it would be the best selling turd ever.
