Well you tend to get snark when Apple works on complete frivolous features like this while releasing a bug ridden mess like iOS16.

I’ve had zero problems with iOS 16. And personally I prefer an update that includes some fun and interesting features. But there are always people negative on here who live in a sad world. Takes all kinds I guess.

This is really cool and I'd like to use it just to hear the instrumental version of songs. Unfortunately, I will not use this because I switched to Spotify a while ago.

Nope. The mic button vanishes.
On the up side my original 4K ATV, has life lyrics that move with music. Just no voice volume slider.

Based on Dans demo, it appears that it just works with Live Lyrics which makes sense. It’s great to see such a fun thing added instead of changing the weight of a font. Hopefully 16.2 will be out soon for public release. But to be fair, I’ll sing over the top of Mariah Carey's Christmas special 😂

You want the Music people working on Siri? You know Apple is a large company that has multiple teams working on different stuff all simultaneously right? Should they all stop until the Siri team makes some improvements?

I don't do lyrics much but it seems like word-by-word highlighting is new for this also? I've only ever seen line by line.

I didn’t notice but just tried it and you’re right As far as I have 16.1 and it’s line by line

Why is this feature being made such a big deal? You would think with the coverage of this feature that it was some ground breaking iOS feature. It's a feature that you can literally get from an app at any time. I think we've heard all we need to hear about this one moving forward.

Its unexpected, integrated and completely free. And very fun. Why the hate?

Strangely I can’t get it to work with any of my songs that are in playlists?? But if I search for the same song outside of a playlist it works… please don’t tell me I’d have to re-add every song to my library to get Sing compatibility???!?

Every tried removing downloads and redownloading, changed the audio quality of the downloads… nothin.

It is pretty terrible, tbh. Just tried it out. It's very glitchy and it doesn't even use the microphone so you can't hear yourself sing, it just terribly muffles the vocals. not what I expected.

That attitude is heavily influenced by social media and talk shows. It is trying to find fault in anything and everything, and it is a miserable attitude.

What’s even more sad is when group think comes into play, especially on forums such as this, and people end up reacting based on how others are reacting. Or if a public figure responds a certain way, they influence others to have that same response.
