Wish these were compatible with the current Nano. Can't bring myself to take my phone into the gym.
Why is it not compatible with the nano? Beat's X pairs with standard BT devices which is what the nano is. What's the limitation with BeatsX?

Do you see this if you click the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar?i just got mine, they work with my iphone and ipad pro but aren't showing up as an option on my mac. Is there something I'm missing? It's running Sierra, latest patch levels (non-beta). the only thing that shows up on my sound bar is the volume level
Macbook Pro 15 Retina, mid 2015.
Are all the devices on the same iCloud account? I believe that is how it is synced over. This is all I see underbluetooth (i have no devices on this).
Also i noticed my watch doesn't see it either. Weird.
Hmmm... sorry I got nothin'. I just paired mine up on the iPhone and it appeared in that menu all on its own.yep, my only account. I double checked the mac just in case, the watch is connected to the phone that is working right now.
If you press option and the Bluetooth menu bar item, move the mouse to the BeatsX while playing music. Does it say Active Codec AAC of SBC?Do you see this if you click the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar?
If all devices are on the same iCloud account, this should sync over from your iOS devices.

@Weaselboy Do you run with your BeatsX? I'm after an honest review if you do as my current bluetooth runners are rubbish.

Nope... I don't see anything on those specs.... "It is AAC. Here is a screenshot for you."
Thanks, one last ask: Does the box or enclosed docs report a frequency response... like 20-20k Hz? I have a set of wired earplugs from Klipsch that are good down to 10 Hz and I love that deep Bass.
Try the Frequency Response and Bass Shaker test on this web site: http://www.audiocheck.net/soundtests_headphones.phpThey must be making a killing with these. $150? Jesus. My Brainwavz wired earbuds (with mic and controls) were $10 and have excellent audio quality (I know -- hard to believe for $10, but the Wirecutter agrees). And the "pairing" is easy, I just plug them into the audio jack on my iPhone 6s+. Seriously, how the heck are these BeatsX worth $140 more?
I just text listened a pair at the Apple Store. 10 Hz to my max. of about 13k Hz but there was significant Bass Shack at the low end. (http://www.audiocheck.net/soundtests_headphones.php)Nope... I don't see anything on those specs.

Apple's long-awaited BeatsX Earphones became available for purchase this morning, giving Apple customers an alternative to the hard-to-find AirPods.
Priced at $149.95, BeatsX Earphones are wireless like AirPods, but are connected together with a cord that makes them easier to keep track of and better suited to active lifestyles. We managed to get our hands on a set of BeatsX Earphones to give MacRumors readers a closer look at Apple's latest product.
BeatsX Earphones feature the same W1 chip that's built into the AirPods, which makes pairing to any iOS device quick and simple, and because the BeatsX Earphones are connected via a cable, there's a space for an in-line remote for controlling media playback, something missing from the AirPods.Subscribe to the MacRumors YouTube channel for more videos.
The earphones charge via Lightning, and ship with four interchangeable eartip sizes and secure-fit wingtips to keep them in place. With a full charge, users can expect eight hours of playback from the BeatsX, and a five minute "Fast Fuel" charging feature offers two hours of playback.
BeatsX Earphones are now available from Apple's online store and from many Apple retail stores around the world. Black and White models can be purchased starting today, while the Blue and Gray versions will be available later in the month. Online orders placed today in the United States will be delivered next week.
