I just tried out my new Powerbeats pro for the first time and am comparing them to the AirPods 2. The sound is excellent and bass is very good. Much better tone separation. I did notice for a few songs the sound can be very similar to the AirPods, but in general, it's much better. I usually use my AirPods with the EarBuddyz covers. The Beats are much more secure. It's raining hard where I am, but I am looking forward to trying them out on a windy run which totally interferes with the sound on the AirPods.

As far the Hey Siri, connectivity, it's about identical to the AirPods 2. The buttons are awesome and super easy to use. Identical on the L and R. Volume button and the b button can play / pause, skip forward, skip back, and do siri.

I’m looking forward to hearing your perspective on them while running. I have the Powerbeats 2 and I hate them. I’ve tried to get a good fit with them but I can’t and the cable is very annoying.

I went for a run yesterday in the wind with both the AirPods (with Ear Buddyz covers) and the Powerbeat Pro. I wore shorts with pockets and was easily able to switch between the two every 1/4 mile or so. Outside with car noise, wind, etc. the sound quality is about the same, but maybe a little better for the Airpods. The Airpods are much more comfortable and almost disappear on your ears. The Powerbeats plug your ear and thus don't allow for sweat and air to get in and out of your ear. I've never liked running with earplug style / earbud style headphones and this trend continues with the Powerbeats. You can hear your footsteps reverberate in your ear due to the tight seal. And the wind noise is still present with these to a high degree.

To make a long story short, I've already packaged up the Powerbeats and will be returning them. There is very little benefit to sound quality unless you are in a silent room at home. They are much more uncomfortable, and I don't like the earplug style. Hope this helps.

Other than the pictures and what comes in the box ... wee another unboxing ... this video seemed to be worthless; seems.

Glasses use was nice to see.

Nothing about quality, no testing for comfort, no out of ear full-volume comparison vs AirPods using the same song played over Bluetooth from the same source with noting the track quality (Khz, 256/320MB, stereo, etc).
This^^^ this is the kind of quality audiophile review that I’ve been searching for to no avail. If anyone has a link I’d appreciate it!

It’s funny, I just watched a review of a runner who said the exact opposite. The adage is true: Your mileage may vary.

Interesting to see people disagree about whether or not they're more comfortable than AirPods. For me, there's absolutely no question that PowerBeats are more comfortable. They're a lot lighter than I expected and the hooks do not dig into my ears in any way. AirPods irritate my ears after 15 mins or so.

Would you provide a link to the runner’s review?
