It does support wireless charging

Yep my bad...Did not see the last part.

But I find it weird that they would support wireless charging with a bottom heavy case like that.

Mophie design is elegant and simple.
It is more Apple than Apple...LOL

PS. I don’t work for mophie ..but I appreciate good design ..

I ordered one for my Max. It will be here tomorrow (they upgraded my shipping). I didn't buy it for its looks. I bought it for its intended purpose. For all those complaining about the looks, it is a battery pack case. It isn't meant to have a runway model carry it down the runway, as if it were a new fashion accessory.

Tell that to Jony Ive and let see what is his reaction...

I mean if consumers like us who love Apple keep to this mantra , we will have more Magic Mouse with the charging port at the bottom of the mouse..
Great right ?

Design is supposed to be also if not beautiful then pleasing.
I remember the first time I saw the all in one IMac ....it made me fall in love with a hardware....

This is like a brain fart that one of the designers had....

Got my XS Max Smart Battery Case today! I would definitely recommend it. Though it’s a bit heavier and thicker, I’m loving how much longer the battery live has been extended. The location of the battery also actually helps me maintain a better hold on my iPhone
Got mine too did yours come charged or nearly dead? Mine was at 5%

First off who passed this design off as Apple?
Jony Ive? Seriously?

I think this is definitely a case of Apple having to much inventory for battery and decided to makes this god awful battery cases.

Hardware is screwed , I just hope software does NOT get any more worse!
Some don't like the design, plenty are quite happy with it for a variety of reasons. Quite subjective.

And it's quite possible that the Magic Mouse was designed that way on purpose so that people wouldn't use it in a manner that Apple didn't intend it to be used--as in only used when wireless. Seems like the design succeeds in that.

And if we are talking about iMac, there are certainly plenty of people who found that design to be childish, to put it lightly. So, again, quite subjective.

I'm sure glad I don't have to have one of these because I wouldn't want to carry it around in my pocket. The x and xs are already heavy phones.

Here is a demonstration of the case with a x,xs, and xs Max.

50% to 75% more battery life depending on the iPhone X# model isn’t much.

The older $99 MSRP versions of this case for the iPhone 6s and 7 (also works with 8) give nearly 100% extra battery life. I still use the battery case with my iPhone 8. Works great.

Apple missed the boat here. The product wasn’t improved but the price increased. To me, the chin job isn’t much of a benefit. It wasn’t a big deal.

These cases are not aesthetically pleasing. They look the way they do because they take into account antenna placement, interference, and other engineering issues that the makers of cheap Chinese knockoffs don't care about.

Amazing that in 2019 people are still whining about a headphone jack, a useless appendage that should have died 10 years ago.

That's really all that matters.

Useless to you does not equal useless to everyone else. Wired headphones are cheaper and still superior in sound quality than bluetooth. When I used multiple bluetooth headphones for phone calls, people on the other end of the line noticed a degradation in how I sounded to them. You also have to keep your bluetooth headphones charged. Don't forget about how batteries degrade and you have to buy new ones when they do, where as, if you take care of your wired headphones, they will last a long time.

Wasn't improved? Did you read the story?

Sorry im kind a newbie tech....

Is it like an additional battery than the one inside your iphone? Or it is like a charger plugged in your wall that lasts longer?

Batteries usually come pre-charged from the factory to about 50%. Wonder if they forgot to charge the Smart Battery Case at the factory or, worse, if it's discharging on its own without use. Try charging it up to 100% then let it sit unattached then check back in one week what charge level it's at.

Y’all crazy. I would love to live in a world where iPhone battery was big enough without bulkier phone. Given reality, these things are a godsend. I’ve been missing them since iPhone 7 and real happy they’re back. Price is fine and Morphie ones are uglier/slippery. The tight lightening integration is the biggest thing. Every other option is a chore. I bought the Moment case hoping it would match, but just not as tight (though it seems that’s apple’s doing haha)

Use AirPods probably 3/4 week when I dial into meetings after hours, never once had anyone complain about how I sounded. Actually just the opposite, had coworkers very surprised I was leveraging AirPods for the call.

Same view here. AirPods for phone calls are killer. Superb sound in both directions and far more comfortable than holding my phone against my ear.
