I had the White Smart Battery case for for iPhone 7. It was my favorite case....nice grip, good protection, not too bulky and kind of sleek looking on the 7. Phenomenal battery life with this attached to the 7. I’ve got the XR now. I think I’ll stick with the Apple clear case. The XR already has great battery life and these new battery cases aren’t doing it for me....from a style perspective.

You people are using your phone too much. There is charging available everywhere these days. In car, in office, home, bus, plane, airport you name it. Why spend $129 on this overpriced and fugly product. Why do some people love everything Apple vomits. Either they work for Apple or they are paid to write so. Grow the F up people. If it's ugly , it's OK to say it's ugly. We have democracy for a reason.

Or, you know, people have different tastes and preferences. Surprising as that is.

Good for those who need the extra battery.. and it is definitely an improvement from the previous igore case..

But

Imo, its a shame to hide the absolute beautiy of iphone x series in these or any case... they are just too beautiful!

Why would I spend $110 from mophie, when I can spend $10 more, and be able to read the % on my phone. Plus the apple one has antenna boosters in it. I honestly don't think it looks that bad, but at the same time, I don't really care. I think cases in general are ugly compared to the phone so if I'm putting a case on my phone it might as well be charging it.

I had the iPhone 7 version of this case and I loved it. I definitely will consider getting this case, especially if it were available in the Product Red.

Yep my bad...Did not see the last part.

But I find it weird that they would support wireless charging with a bottom heavy case like that.

Mophie design is elegant and simple.
It is more Apple than Apple...LOL

PS. I don’t work for mophie ..but I appreciate good design ..

Do any of the Mophie cases charge via lighting? I wouldn't want to add another cable type to all the stuff I charge.

Use AirPods probably 3/4 week when I dial into meetings after hours, never once had anyone complain about how I sounded. Actually just the opposite, had coworkers very surprised I was leveraging AirPods for the call.

Agreed. I use my AirPods while teaching live online. My students could tell immediately because the sound quality was so much better.

I agree with you, it is ugly. However, I'm interested in it because I spend hours "in the field" doing relief work during typhoons and earthquakes or making sure supplies get to so pretty remote areas. I normally carry battery pack incase my iPad or iPhone needs the juice. However, since the new iPad can charge an iPhone, I may not "need" a battery case.

Some don't like the design, plenty are quite happy with it for a variety of reasons. Quite subjective.

And it's quite possible that the Magic Mouse was designed that way on purpose so that people wouldn't use it in a manner that Apple didn't intend it to be used--as in only used when wireless. Seems like the design succeeds in that.

And if we are talking about iMac, there are certainly plenty of people who found that design to be childish, to put it lightly. So, again, quite subjective.

Wait ...Apple designed it to be wireless that’s why they put the lightning port at the bottom ?? Does that make to ANYONE ??

(Question does not apply to any Apple employees who took part in the mouse design)

If the people who designed the mouse were to design the MacBook and put the power port at the bottom , then no one will be able to use the laptop when it is charging !
Then Apple will meet its intended Purpose for laptop which is mobility use ...

Has any company copied Apple mouse with power port on the bottom ??

Hearing stories and comments that the battery cases are at 0 to 5% charge state out of the box.

Not good!

I am guessing with the internal battery protection they’re not actually completely discharged but if they sit on the shelf for a few months they could end up being completely discharged and cause damage to the cell(s).

The laptop isn't meant to be moved around in a wireless fashion as it's primary use case. A mouse is. You can certainly disagree with their decision, and that's perfectly fine and all, but if the goal was to not have the user use a wireless mouse while plugged in and therefore not wireless at that time, then that design makes sense as far as achieving that goal.

Anyone know the IP rating for water?
I’m curious about this too! Mostly if water gets around the lightning port on the phone while the battery is providing power.

Might be ugly, but very usable.

Got my XS Max Smart Battery Case today! I would definitely recommend it. Though it’s a bit heavier and thicker, I’m loving how much longer the battery life has been extended. The location of the battery also actually helps me maintain a better hold on my iPhone
I also got it for my Max and noticed I have a better grip on the phone.

Yea, they’re also $150 and need to be recharged. Also, they don’t fit my ears comfortably at all. It’s good that you like them, but it wouldn’t hurt apple if they kept the Jack. The only reason for it’s removal is profits.
