Looks like the kind of **** my kids create from wood out in the garage.

They might as well glue sugar cubes and noodles to it.

Next, as the watch gets thinner, it will become a ring, like a gaudy super bowl ring.

At least that would end the stupid watch band news.

This products leaves me soooooo ice cold. Maybe by Awatch 12, I'll check again.

Can we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put these Apple Watch band articles under the "More MacRumors Stories" section of this site rather than on the front page? TERRIBLE. No one really cares about this junk.

I have and love an Apple Watch, and I completely agree with you on this one. This is certainly not worthy of mainline news. I don't get MR Admin strategy here. They are running really silly home page news that is literally fringe... and meanwhile they won't add a CarPlay forum to create a place where one of Apple's main future platforms can be discussed and explored.

Makes me giggle a bit reading the negative comments about people who "just don't get it"

It's not so much what you think it looks like.
It's that it looks different to what tens of millions of others have.

You could pick all manner of exotic items from around the world and hate the way they look.
The point is YOU don't have one, and they do.

That's what makes most special things special.
Not the items themselves. The fact that everyone else does not have one.

Apple products ARE as common as muck
That does not mean they are made bad (generally) just that they are very very VERY common.

How can an iPhone Ever be regarded as something special that someone with money loves, when they see millions of school children with the exact same item.

Mass production on a GIANT scale which is what Apple is all about = common products which are owned by far far to many people to ever be special.

Wow, at first glance, it actually looks better than the original. Apple should really take notes.

The problem here, and with your comment, is that you focus to much on being different for the sake of being different, which always sucks. Stuff CAN look different AND at the same time actually look good, which this does not

Personally though i don't care if my device looks exactly the same as 1 billion other devices

For some reason it's always strangely satisfying to see ludicrous prices for things you find so revolting that you wouldn't want even if they paid you to own it.

I've felt that way when I went into fancy stores and looked at expensive designer clothes. I guess the gaudier and uglier fashion is the more it should cost?

Wow. I don't normally get worked up about something just because it is expensive. I get that unique stuff often costs a lot. But this design really doesn't work at all in my opinion. It makes the watch look much worse and much cheaper.
Now if they get their act together and make a custom platinum housing, I think they will have something that will sell. I bet they could make a platinum body and charge less than the gold Apple Watch editions. And it would look good.

So, for $4,651 extra, you can buy an Apple Watch with a voided warranty and a bulky, unremovable case. Plus, it'll be available later this month, just in time for the internal components to be a generation older than what you can get from Apple for $349. But hey, it's carbon fiber!

Fat chance. MacRumors is just trolling its own forums these days.

And it's better in any way than the stock cases because? Oh, it's not. I see. Then WTF? Why do this to the universe?!?

I'd almost bet they sell none, but somehow I just know one or two people will buy one.

Well, I give them credit for trying to make things different. Too bad the internals suck

These "luxury" Apple products always crack me up because they look uglier than the real thing. Apple is so good at design, that the only way they can make the thing stand out from the crowd is to make it ugly. Because let's be honest, that's the whole point of buying something like this—to be a showoff. Just wait a couple months and buy the new Apple Watch 2 with new materials and designer editions.

Have you ever wanted your Apple Watch to look like toy from the early learning centre (or original Galaxy gear) aka utter *****? Then look no further, get this piece of ***** from Feld & Volk.

Utter pish.

Problem is, in MY opinion pretty much every single Rolex looks horrid.
The more high end the worse it looks.
