"A rubber band with a matching clasp ..."

I snickered at the mental imagery this drummed up. $5000+ for an Apple Watch with a rubber band, and paper clip clasp.

fair point, but buy a dremel and work blindly on you $249 watch for ten minutes and it's still going to look better. just because it was made for aesthetically challenged but proud people with deep pockets doesn't make the ugly disappear.

Actually WHO MAKES IT.
Is far far more important than anything.

If Steve jobs knocked up a plywood computer case and it was found, and was the only one, then look out for the cost to buy it.

These look like something my kid would make in school. Not very appealing.

Actually, if Steve Job did make this thing, then everyone would buy it....

Makes me giggle a bit reading the negative comments about people who "just don't get it"

It's not so much what you think it looks like.
It's that it looks different to what tens of millions of others have.

You could pick all manner of exotic items from around the world and hate the way they look.
The point is YOU don't have one, and they do.

That's what makes most special things special.
Not the items themselves. The fact that everyone else does not have one.

Apple products ARE as common as muck
That does not mean they are made bad (generally) just that they are very very VERY common.

How can an iPhone Ever be regarded as something special that someone with money loves, when they see millions of school children with the exact same item.

Mass production on a GIANT scale which is what Apple is all about = common products which are owned by far far to many people to ever be special.

Just because something is rare doesn't mean it is valuable.

The black carbon fiber version is actually not that bad looking, especially if you like the rugged look. Heck, some people put it in a rugged case just to achieve this look. The proposed wood version looks out of place though.

.

I think there is barely 10 million Apple Watches sold in total.

And just like the other 10 million Apple Watches this is butt ugly.

Could they have made this any uglier?

This company will Brikk your Apple watch for $115,000.

Holy ****, I'm all over customizing Apple products, even to crazy extents... but HOLY ****, thats ugly.

UGLY

50% of the price of Apple Watch Edition.
Oh, they release a discount version of Apple Watch Edition?

ugly as hell:eek:. my stainless steel apple watch looks much better than these hands down.

Different demographic, indeed. $5,000 for a watch that who's guts I can buy for around $300.
The different demographic is really stupid people with money burn.

Just keepin' it real, as they say.....

i thought this is a joke..... until I realize Apple Watch edition makes this look like a huge bargain

How about that? A watch that only an Apple exec or their pointless rich mates can afford.....
