Truth be told, the new changes coming to the Teslas are pushing me to finally get my drivers license. I want a Tesla Model 3 bad, and having Apple Music support will make that purchase even better.
That's it right there, rock on my man.2022.44.25.5 currently installing on my Y that was previously on an FSD build!
I assume you're relatively young? How do young people afford a Tesla Model 3?Truth be told, the new changes coming to the Teslas are pushing me to finally get my drivers license. I want a Tesla Model 3 bad, and having Apple Music support will make that purchase even better.
I never use satellite view. For me, the glanceable traffic is the worthwhile gift! M3LR owner. This depends. Sometimes hotspot is just included in most cell plans. That being said…SAT MAP VIEW is worth the money.

Totally agree with this about Spotify in the Tesla. Also, to note, it looks like in this latest holiday update, Spotify now allows you to sort through playlists larger than 100 songs. Before it would play the whole playlist, but only let you see the first 100 songs.I've had this in my Model S for almost a week.
TL;DR I was very excited but less so after living with it. I don't hate it, nor do I love it.
I don't know if there are actual "bugs" per se, but the UI/UX is a little clunky. It's software so it can (will?) improve over time. To name a few, you can't sort playlists and they sort with numerically ordered playlists last (vs. desktop where they're first). There really needs to be some kind of macro search/filter alphabetically when looking at artists/songs/albums. I have a huge library and a notable amount of the implementation isn't practically usable because you have to sort through dozens (or more) of screens. I actually prefer Apple Music to Spotify in general, but the Tesla Spotify implementation is pretty good and — in my opinion so far — superior to the Apple Music implementation. Again, it's software and all this can change/improve (my bet is it will).
I know 22 year olds with a BS in CS, ME, or EE starting at 130k+ buying Model 3s.I assume you're relatively young? How do young people afford a Tesla Model 3?
I’ve had mine now for 3+ years, it’s been awesome. Had a mk6 GTI prior, and it’s almost as much fun as that hatch! I really doubt you would be disappointed.Truth be told, the new changes coming to the Teslas are pushing me to finally get my drivers license. Hate to break it to you, their ain't no 'newer cheaper Teslas' coming.I'm in my late 20s lmao. I know how to drive I just haven't gotten any behind the wheel experience to do the driving test since I hadn't had the need to. But since my learners license is expiring next year and with the new cheaper Teslas coming, I feel now's the time to do it
Agreed re: partial data in Spotify — it would be nice to see more.Totally agree with this about Spotify in the Tesla. One thing I hope Spotify does correct is it only shows you a portion of your favorite albums, artists and playlists and then cuts them off after a certain number.
Having Spotify and Apple Music now if you subscribe to both can be the best of both worlds!

If you've got a EE (and thus potentially making $130K), I assume you're not dragging your feet on a drivers license. Outside of NYC, they're pretty essential for anyone college-age.I know 22 year olds with a BS in CS, ME, or EE starting at 130k+ buying Model 3s.
Which is probably the code name for the refreshed Model 3. And still gonna be $50K+.You haven't heard about Project Highland?
Not necessarily. There are large numbers of younger people that don't drive or see it as essential as previous generations. It's been written about many times over the past several years. The Reasons Why Millennials Aren't As Car Crazed As Baby Boomers, And How Self-Driving Cars Fit In
It has been looking gloomy that the latest generations are not buying cars as much anymore and also eschewing driving, for which there are some crucial underlying causes that are identified in this piece and furthermore the future will be different once the advent of driverless cars occurs.www.forbes.com
it’s really hard to stream music over a cellular connection without a cellular connection. I tried a really long ethernet cable and it was great around the neighborhood. They mentioned online, the annual holiday software update is available for all users, but there is a small catch:
Note: A Premium Connectivity subscription is required to stream Apple Music over a cellular connection. You see that if you click on the Apple Music portion of this twitter post.
There's a big difference with Carplay, since it has to adapt to a multitude of screen sizes and resolutions, whereas Teslas are pretty much the same and are all much larger screens. The little 7-inch 640 x 480 screen in my car does a surprisingly good job at rendering Carplay, and I'm thankful the interface has been made simple to suit a variety of use cases.Unless I am crazy and have totally missed this, navigating around the Apple Music app for Carplay is awful. So for Dan to comment on how great AM is for Telsa vs Spotify it's slightly annoying how Apple can't make Carplay the best version of itself before it puts its streaming platform into other 3rd party sources.
I'm in the US and have it. I was relaying information from other users who've reported having the holiday update and *not* getting Apple Music (namely a Tesla owner in Hong Kong). Also, https://www.notateslaapp.com/software-updates/version/2022.44.25.1/release-notes, lists the availability as only the United States (as opposed to worldwide like they do for other features). That's incorrect. It's available worldwide.
