not really, the iPhone,iPod,iPad is helping the Mac in the long run, all the developers who are developing for the iPhone OS need to get a mac and it's also forcing developers to learn the Objective-C, a lot of new mac apps are copies of their iPhone version.

Last thing, because of those products, now apple is actually known in other parts of the word for making computers.
 
this would be the only reason i would buy an ipad

if they only DO IT! I would buy one instantly.

come on thinkgeek. the parts would be easily sourced.

Yeah I know different technology to the new 3D screens so you really need to have kept the ones from the 90s

Ya I think April 1st became a conveinient day to test reactions to the design / not look like dicks if people hated it.
 
The more I think about the icade, the more the economics don't work out, and that makes me sad, because knowing it was a joke was no cure to a universal truth.... A lot of us would pay some damn good money for that.

ThinkGeek is chock full of cool stuff I wish was real today!

I want that LOST alarm clock. Especially if the numbers turn red and Egyptian when it goes off (somehow I found that moment pretty scary).
 
iCade is too good an idea to simply remain a joke...somebody grab that ball and run with it!

Unfortunately I don't think this is too far from the truth.
When is the last time you read anything computer (as in real computer not iPad toy) related on these pages?
I fear it's only gonna get worse. :(

Come off it, that is hardly a joke, its a really bad attempt, only an idiot would come close to believing that.
