Excellent phone. No signal problems here. People who are overblowing the reception issue have too much time on their hands or have a vendetta against poor Steve.

I'm extra excited for my vacation to Florida in July now, I can make a nice vacation video!

I'm not saying you guys can't be having problems with your phone because I have pretty much a perfect phone too, BUT if Apple has released an actual statement addressing this signal issue then there is some validation that this is not just a small percentage of people.
Love the phone though!

As I read it, their statement was that it was a signal non-issue.

This is weird to say but I think my love for the phone doubled last night after I put custom backgrounds on my phone.

Make sure to use something that uses a lot of reds, they look

Other than taking a little long to activate, this is my favorite iPhone so far. The screen is brilliant. I had to see it to believe it. Not to mention this A4 chip is fast as hell.

Now if only we could get people to understand multitasking and that the devs need to update their apps for it to run in the background!

All problem I had were silly. Could activate via the web but the call to 611 worked. FaceTime doesn't seem to way to work for me but I've once tried it once. Other then that I love this phone. Just waiting for otterbox to release their cases.

ALL is Well!

All is Well with my shiny new iPhone 4 in a case i got from Best Buy mobile (right beside Apple Store in Mall of Georgia). Apple was all out of their overpriced "Bumpers". So i got a great case from BB it was $16 and it covered the back and side. It is slim and nice. Best of all the packaging says for "iphone 4g" guess the were early!

Go into Settings -> Phone and then slide the button under Face Time to on. That should do the trick. Took me a minute to figure that out last night while me and my wife tried it. It's pretty slick :D

Upgraded from a 3GS and very happy with my new 4..... I have had every gen iPhone and I can truthfully say this is the happiest I have been upgrading.... Signal bars up and down sometimes but no dropped calls so far..

Me too. People are way overreacting about the antenna. It's so annoying.

Just wait, this is not an issue with a few phones here and there, this is an issue with all phones which you haven't experienced YET. No one is overreacting, this is a EXTREMELY important issue. With phone companies, the number #1 reason why people choose this carrier or that carrier is reception and service.

Original post quoted for truth.

My iP4 works great with none of the problems others have listed.

As an Apple user that has been part of product launches since the mid 80's this one went smoothly and painlessly. 32GB Black iPhone and Apple Bumper was delivered to my door at the same time, 5 minute online activation and installation process on AT&T's website and I was up and running.

Some of you new Apple users should take notes on how it's done by us old timers?
