Hee...

this is an issue with all phones which you haven't experienced YET.

This one made me laugh, only I don't think the writer was trying to be funny.

My iPhone is working beautifully! I'm going to leave everything to it in the will... to heck with the kids!

My iPhone 4 works like... AMAZING. The screen is so sharp. And the overall speed is great. I also like the new volume buttons better than I liked the rocker on iPhone 1-3GS

Typed on my IPhone 4,

Put your finger on the lower left corner antenna gap and all of you delusional owners will no longer have a "perfect phone".

Did that for 20minutes with several of my friends who own iP4's, and none of lost signal. Guess it sucks to be you, our phones are perfect!

Seeing how I never hold my phone that way, it'll never be an issue for me. As the article on the front page notes, this happens to other phones too.

Happy with my phone. No problems at all.

Let me tell you guys how my day went yesterday:

It was AWESOME, me and my buddy got there at 4am(The Grove Los Angeles) We pulled up near Banana Republic and there was already a line wrapped around the building. I was like GTFO of HERE! Turns out that was the walk-in line, so we moved to the reservation line and was number 80.

The crowd there was awesome, chill, laid back, and we all just hung out. Talked about how amazing the iphone 4 is, talked about the reception/yellow residue problems people were having, talked about how the guy was camping out for a week etc. Quote from one of the guys in line with me "dude even if there is a reception problem or yellow residue, IM STILL GOING TO GET MY PHONE TODAY!" haha.

At about 6am, the reservation line grew 4x bigger, with more than 300+ people and at least 600+ in the walk-in line. Then the reservation line started to move, a loud cheer came from the crowd as we walked towards the apple store. They then began to bring out the velvet ropes, I've been hopped up on monsters for the past 4 hours by then and was getting hungry.

All of a sudden this light, came from the beginning of the reservation line(i might have been imagining it). A little cutie came by pushing this cart and asked me "would you like some coffee?" I  and nodded. Right behind her, another cutie she asked "Would you like some muffins, croissants, donuts?" I was like :eek::confused::eek:, and nodded ...Then at around 6:50 ANOTHER cutie came out with a cart and asked "would you like some smart water or some chocolate chip cookies?" at this point I said ":eek: Whoa hold on are you guys for real?" she replied "yes sire" and I said FINE! ILL TAKE ONE! haha

While this was all going on, my buddy was contemplating on getting an iphone, all this special treatment got him thinking. He never really liked the iphone, he is more of a Blackberry kinda guy, and he had no reservation either and the Apple Employees said that if anyone in the reservation line only reserve on phone and wanted to get another one that they would have to go to the walk-in line after they get their reserved phone. I told him not to worry and we'll work something out.

7am: the doors opened and the running of the blues commenced! tons of Apple store Employees with their blue shirts ran through the crowd! and everyone goes wild!

7:40am Finally in front of the line ready to go in, Apple Employee Josh comes out and I follow him to the second level of the Apple Store The Grove. Before we started to the necessary steps to get my iphone I asked him to hold on and I said "So my buddy here doesn't have a reservation, he owns a BLACKBERRY , I just convinced him to switch to the iphone, does he need to go back to the Walk-in line?

Josh replies "dude you're already in here, lets do it!"

HE set us up with our iphones and we were out of there by 8am!

BAM! two guys walking out of the Apple Store with Iphone 4s :cool:

The low-light video recording on this thing is amazing. Could have the best camera and video recording capability on a touch screen phone in the U.S. market.

I was sitting in the back of the movie theater yesterday and it recorded the scene of the movie very well. A dark scene too.

Another One Night In Paris will only look better! Along with FaceTime, recording coitus on this will look amazing. This phone is perfectly engineered for exhibitionists, sluts, and pervs.

Happy Thread: My iphone 4 works perfectly and I love it.

Haven't had a single dropped call - holding it right or left handed.

No yellow.

No defects.

Haven't even had an app crash.

Everything's great in my iPhone world.

My iPhone 4 is perfect as well. People are just trying to find faults in the phone. When I purposely hold my phone on the left corner with my left hand the bars do drop but then when I surf the web and make calls it still works great without problems. I've even done speed tests and I have no problems. And the bars dropping doesn't matter to me either way cus I hold my phone with my right hand and I don't try and mess it up.

If you really have that big of a problem with the reception just return the phone or buy a case and stop bitching.

Mine and my wife's are both perfect. No issues, no complaints, we love them. I'm am confident if I had a problem Apple would fix it, if I had a problem I'd take it to them and not come on here complaining about it.

Best iPhone I've ever owned. I adopted the first iPhone and have had one since. Just upgraded from my 3G to a 4, and am amazed by the speed of the phone. Everything just... works. No reception issues (bumper ftw), no yellowing, and hopefully (at least for a while!) no scratches.

The only "issue" I had was an annoying window that popped up asking for my voicemail password, which I didn't remember. Easy enough to fix, just called 611 and had the password reset.

Very happy altogether, nothing negative to say about my i4.

32GB iPhone 4 black on Orange UK here. Got the only one in town. :D (Orange only got nine 16GB's and one 32GB for both stores).

I had the first iPhone on O2, then upgraded to the 3G as soon as it came out. My contract expired in December but I waited until now to upgrade as I knew Apple would be coming out with a new iPhone, and I wanted to switch to Orange.

Comparing this to my 3G is like night and day. Everything loads instantly, and all the animations execute fully without a single stutter. I can be driving in Real Racing, get a call, speak on it, hang up, check the Twitter and Facebook apps, read new SMS's, and switch back to exactly where I was in Real Racing without a single pause, stutter, or delay. It's unreal.

Oh, and:
No reception issues (But I've been told I hold my phone weird).
No yellow spots.

Happy as larry.

My only problem so far is that Orange haven't fully processed my PAC code yet, so I'm still having to carry my 3G around with me (No point in giving everyone a new number just for a few days). Hopefully should be by Monday night.

Aside from people that *are* just gloating, I think this is an important thread for people on the fence. This and similar threads along with the poll thread that shows the % of people that are having issues helped me to decide to buy. I am very glad I did. I am also glad for the threads and posts from people having problems since they helped me to know what to look for.

As for my own experience: I LOVE my new iPhone. It actually SOLVED my reception problems I have been having in my home. I upgraded from a 2g that due to some change in ATT cell towers had be become essentially unusable for me at home. With the i4 I get another bar or two and that resolves the issue. I can replicate the reception issue but it hasn't resulted in dropped calls yet.

I'm happy and have no major complaints.

I suspect that any issues being splashed all over the front pages are a loud minority and that most people are very happy. The media loves to build you up and then tear you down as well (much like we do with celebrities).

I set up a poll to try and determine this for sure, so if you have a second, please vote:
