...in the areas in which I use my iPhone the most Verizon had very poor service and still does. I honestly don't envy Verizon at all, and I could easily pay to cancel only a $200 contract if I wanted but I don't. It really does depend on where you use your iPhone the most, and which provider offers better service in your area, overall I have had better service with AT&T where I live and travel.
I'm going to start a new thread with a poll.
What's more annoying?
Inane forum threads on the Verizon iPhone
Inane front page articles on the Verizon iPhone
Inane page two articles on the Verizon iPhone
All of the above
I like turtles
I hope that AT&T does lose it's exclusivity soon.. competition is a good thing, price wise.
^^^^ Exactly! ^^^^Yeah, who can charge the most for the least data allowed per month.![]()
Why would AT&T allow the best phone in the world to go on the best network? Trust me they will not allow that to happen, and will pay whatever money they have to not let it happen.
I do think 2012 is more realistic.
False, Apple is the one with the upper hand in this relationship. Apple will decide who will carry the iPhone. It's going to get to a point when Apple will realize they can make more money by using multiple carriers.

Apple rises as investors await a Verizon iPhone
NEW YORK (AP) -- Shares of Apple Inc. hit a record high Monday as investors expect the consumer electronics giant to sell more iPads -- and finally start distributing the iPhone through Verizon.
THE SPARK: Oppenheimer & Co. analyst Yair Reiner boosted his price target for the company by $40 to $385, saying the company is likely to see explosive growth as it sells more iPads and begins offering the iPhone through Verizon, the largest wireless network in the U.S.
After that it will be for Sprint, then T-Mobile, then Bosst Mobile and finally Virgin mobile, this stuff will never end, speculation runs rampid thru this forum, we sometimes have to just live with it. I can not wait until it hits Verizon, I want to see everyone complain about the iPhone being limited on their network, or outages from Data consumption, but I do not believe there will be a mass exodus on AT&T, I am here left VZ and will never go back.
OK, for all intensive purposes, WTF is rampid?![]()
WTF is "for all intensive purposes"? I've heard of "for all intents and purposes", but not the other.![]()
I really don't see a verizon iPhone happening. Everyone wants a Verizon iPhone to happen, but Verizon really isn't that great. I love AT&T's service where I live, in fact I pretty much always have better service then some people on Verizon. Plus AT&T's network is more convienent and more high tech than Verizon, I mean think about it CDMA doesn't have the same roaming capabilities as the iPhones current network chip and also Verizon hasn't even completed expanding it's 3G network. Also being able to use both voice and data at the same time is great. I would see the iPhone possibly going to T-Mobile before ever going to Verizon. Even though T-Mobile sucks. And there little adds about not being able to webcam chat off the iPhone are so stupid, all you need to do is use the yahoo messenger app for over 3G. But besides the point I think it depends on where you live and travel, for me AT&T has great service and is very fast and dependable.
But, the reality is, there are only reports of a CDMA-based iPhone in verification tests. Or, what am I missing... What are the hard facts?
The rest of the customer base has had crappy reception and dropped calls..
1. 99.99% of the people on this forum have no hard facts about a Verizon iPhone.
2. The possible 0.01% of the people on this forum who have hard facts are probably smart enough not to tip their hands fully, or risk the consequences. What little tidbits might slip from these folks will probably get lost in the noise of the trolls who are outright lying, and the people who saw a false report on realverizoniphoneinfo.com and are copying it to every forum they can find because it was on the internet and that means it has to be true!
So unless someone at Verizon or Apple leaves their test phone in a bar again, it's highly unlikely you'll be able to distinguish the "hard facts" from the fluff, until an announcement is made. So, don't even bother.
Please don't purport to speak for me, or claim to know my experience as an AT&T customer, because clearly you don't.
Cool! I'm a 0.01 percenter! And Mother said I'd never stand out![]()
I happen to know there will be a Verizon iPhone. I don't know for sure on which network.
iPhone on Verizon doubters - it's just that, a dream. Verizon will be getting the iPhone. Don't ask me how I know, I just do.
So there - we're even. I don't believe you were kidding. Neither am I. So now we'll just have to see won't we![]()
Verizon iPhone will be announced January 27th at Macworld and will be available for purchase February 10th.
