Very well said. Yeah, I expect it to eventually make its way to T-Mobile and Sprint as well.

Ya know, sometimes I think the folks who keep saying "Verizon will never get an iPhone" are people who have Verizon envy, but are stuck in a contract with AT&T. If Verizon gets the iPhone, it would add insult to injury....think about it, I could actually make calls? By the way, I could personally care less about data use while I'm talking, but Verizon has said there are measures they can introduce to allow data/voice at the same time, so its not really an issue either way.

Where's the "I don't know" option?

Edit: For the record, not voting until this is added. Or a "Maybe sometime in '11".

Edit2: Oh, and who is breaching the contract in 2012 and why?

I actually used to be with Verizon, and in the areas in which I use my iPhone the most Verizon had very poor service and still does. I honestly don't envy Verizon at all, and I could easily pay to cancel only a $200 contract if I wanted but I don't. It really does depend on where you use your iPhone the most, and which provider offers better service in your area, overall I have had better service with AT&T where I live and travel.

I'm going to start a new thread with a poll.

What's more annoying?

Inane forum threads on the Verizon iPhone
Inane front page articles on the Verizon iPhone
Inane page two articles on the Verizon iPhone
All of the above
I like turtles

I'm gonna go with people who open Verizon iPhone threads even though they hate them.

Oh, wasn't a choice? Then I like turtles. :D

Agreed. Until there is an announcement by either Apple or Verizon there are no hard facts.

/thread

And here comes to the obligatory...."if we only posted based on facts, the forum would be MacFacts not MacRumors."

There ya go...I knew that's what you were fishing for.

OK, for all intensive purposes, WTF is rampid? :D

And why are the purposes intensive?? :D

Really do we really care if Verizon comes out with an iPhone. If they do great for who are waiting or have been waiting and if not then the world continues to orbit around the non sayer’s. Then why not debate Dark vs Milk Chocolate, or who has the better pizza Roundtable or Pizza Hut (I’m aware what type of forum this is to :D ) it's a matter of opinion which makes everything a debate.
50% will agree and 50% won't

Verizon is the largest carrier in the U.S., and if Apple didn't care about them, then why did Steve Jobs himself mention a Verizon tower existing on Apple's campus for testing purposes?

That's not what he said. He said there was a Verizon cell tower there. Just like Verizon and the others have at thousands of corporate campuses across the US. He said nothing about testing.

Why did you create a poll asking us a Verizon iPhone launch? We don't know. These results on the poll are almost as good as closing your eyes and picking a random option.

There are no hard facts. Speculation runs rampant here, and if you keep an eye on Apple, nothing is concrete until it is announced. Verizon doesn't seem like a partner to leak information. Seeing as they have so many other brands and operating systems, why would they want to jeopardize any possible business?

All iPhones should come unlocked so all this struggle with jailbreaking and bad service stops

I can see many are over the debate. I am simply trying to get a feel of when most think it is debuting, or if you think it is never coming to Verizon...

Apple should just open the flood gates and release the iPhone on Sprint and T-Mobile too. If they had the iPhone 5 on all 4 U.S. carriers they would destroy Android and Win Mo. The iPhone would just dominate on all those carriers so easily. And sell a iPhone 3gs as the cheaper freebie phone on contract.

I just don't see why Apple doesn't so that.

I'm not sure when the iPhone will come to Verizon but I do know that it won't be exclusive to AT&T forever.

Irony Post of the Year material right here folks. Dibs on the sig-rights! :D

A non-existant word that mentally challenged people often confuse with the word "rampant."

Now now play nice kids;)

You missed the point. He used a non-existent phrase in his attempt to point out the non-existent word.

It's "All intents and purposes" not "All intensive purposes".

And I trump your dibs, I caught it on page 1. :p

And why are the purposes intensive?? :D

Don't feel down...uh..rdowns. We love you man. If for no other reason than that avatar I can't stop looking at. :)

What non-existent word?

And the phrase exists. To mock. It's a horribly wrong phrase and butchering of the original phrase which was what the person most likely intended.

Rampid is not a word.

As you said yourself, it's not the original phrase. It doesn't really exist in a valid form. It's a malapropism.

Edit: Either way it's a spelling/grammar correction that is against forum rules and we shouldn't dwell on it further. If anybody takes offense I'll delete my posts.
