I downgraded - sort of. I occasionally switch off to a Google Pixel 5.
My parents, now in their 80s but still spry, got their first smartphones - and they went Android. They're also Windows users for computers and although I frequently hear, "Damn this Windows system! Next time I'm getting a Mac!" from my father, he keeps getting new Windows laptops. It's the old
Sticking-With-What-You-Know syndrome. When they accepted the inevitability of smartphones they asked me, their on-call tech support, for recommendations and of course I said "iPhone." I've been using iPhones for a decade and have learned a thing or two about fixing issues and integrating smart home features. Aaaaaaaaand... my parents went with Android. As I am their own on-call tech support I figured I'd best be familiar with Android when they call about a borked update or with an issue with an app.
So occasionally I switch from my iPhone 13 Pro Max to my Google Pixel 5 for a week or two. Gets me back in the Android mindset and also reminds me why I prefer iOS and the iPhone.
