Yeah exactly. I had an 8+ and went for a smaller device last upgrade and realised I preferred a more pocketable phone. Everybody is different, I didn’t overthink it, picked a device to use for a couple of years and haven’t looked back.
The month I had my 12 Pro - I noticed I could put the phone in my back pocket and forget it was there.

My 12 PM and 13 PM actually pulls my pants down and is uncomfortable so I usually leave it home. But in the end, I preferred a bigger screen and robust battery for my needs - especially since I work at home now and sit all day. LOL. If I was more mobile I'd probably lean more towards a more pocketable phone.

I ended up keeping both - my husband and I will use 13PM for a third (backup) device. I can switch my SIM card out easily for trips or times when I need the larger screen and battery life but day to day I like the pocketability and ability to use one-handed. This is very decadent, I realize, and if I had and could return one, it would have been 13PM. I think Apple would have let me make the return as I had to wait so long to get a Pro for comparison purposes but I felt bad doing that. It’s really apples and oranges and a difficult decision for the indecisive person. Each has its benefits.

Two months later.............still have both sizes. Every time I box one up to sell I end up encountering a situation where I really wish I had a larger/smaller phone. It is a sickness I swear. In the end, I think I need to decide if I want to be a 2 device person or not. I have a 12.9 iPad Pro that I could use to watch shows and browse on the couch but most times since I have a Max I don't really pull it out. During the day when in the field working it is the 13 Pro I have on me most of the time. I've told myself that by the end of this week one of them will be in a UPS truck on the way to its new home. Stay tuned.
What did you end up going with?

What did you end up going with?

Ended up holding onto the Pro Max. Do miss the convenience of the Pro from time to time. In the end this big screen won out for me. Think the 6.5" 11 Pro Max was my all time favorite form factor, I know they won't go backwards in screen size on the Max line but man that phone was large screen and manageable for me , perfect balance.

well, I guess a lot of people disagree with you, approximately half who purchased the max! LOL
Hi kp, did you end up keeping the max or just the pro ? What did you base your decision on ? I’m almost tempted keeling both lol

I’m on the max now , tempted to get the pro and just keep both, but may not be worth the extra 23.00 payment per month ..
What case do you keep the pro in ?

I'm keeping the 6.1". Still pocketable and more reasons to use iPP 12.9" at home. If I didn't have iPad, I'd get Max, because I love iOS and its apps.

Been in this dilemma for sinch launch. My hands and pockets love the Pro but my eyes the Pro Max. Battery life is a non-factor since both phones comfortably last me all day anyway.

Went with the 13 Pro. Fits my hand better and I can make the text large enough to suit my old eyes. I use a Shieldon wallet case. I can eliminate carrying my purse and put the iPhone in my back pocket.

Just buy both

I opted for both the pro max and the mini this year. I was sick of deciding between big and small because both sizes are really useful for me. ?‍♀️

Was using promax since released day , and gave it to my brother , and I did " upgrade " to 13 Pro . First I love it , so easy in n out ....

But , I do miss the big screen , so just exchanged back to promax , and lucky my local bestbuy have it

I really want to go for the smaller pro but the fact the notch slightly cuts in to 2:1 YouTube videos really annoys me. This did not happen on previous smaller phones such as the 12 pro, 12 or even the X with a smaller screen and seems like a step back. This is not a issue on the13 pro max. Anyone notice this?

I have both currently, I will return one, leaning towards keeping the 13 Pro. The PM is so heavy it pulls my sweat pants down while at the gym and I just found it to take up too much room at my desk when I put it down - something I didn't even consider.

I really want one slightly bigger than the 13 Pro though. The PM battery is insane though, which is one of the main reasons I like it more than the Pro.

I switched to 13 Pro from 13 Pro Max today. I was using Galaxy Note 1, 2, 3 while people were ridiculing large phones, but now carrying a large phone feels more of an annoyance.

I had a 12 Pro and am moving to the 13 Pro Max. Hand comfort and weight are the negatives. Battery life and ease of vision are the positives for me.

Ease of vision is probably the most important factor for me, given my eyesight.

On another note, while heavy, I find the 13 Pro Max easier to hold than the corresponding larger version of the 11 with its rounded edges. It also feels more balanced.

I stay “moving” b/c I am still in my two week evaluation.

Need with a 13 max (over pro) due to less typos and ease of seeing screen? but also got a killer deal on a 13 mini so now I can go back and forth between the two when needed …. Works great! Pro was a bit of an awkward space IMO.

I did. Going to a regular pro lasted about 12 seconds for me. Once I got used to the Max screen there is no going back.

I’m hesitating to going to a pro max from a pro or waiting till the next iPhone pro max…

I went from a 12PM to a 12 Pro… ended up returning and keeping my 12PM. I only had it a day though. I’ve used large phones since the plus was announced (besides the X)

Just got my fiancée the 13 pro and now I’m debating on going smaller.

I’m used to the size . It’s not bad, but the regular pro is way more comfortable to hold imo. It really is the perfect size. I’m just not sure I want to lose the screen size.

I didn’t like how the pro phones in landscape email you lost a little sub menu… but I use my phone in landscape other than videos like… once a year? Lol

That’s what it comes down to right - how much do you use your phone. For people without an iPad or MBP, I’d recommend the PM. Those of us with an iPad and MBP - how often do we really use our iPhones? I rarely use mine - I tried to use mine as a primary device a few months ago but just could not - iPads are great at home. I’m seriously considering sizing down to the Pro next time I upgrade especially now that the cameras are identical.
