3rd year owning the iphone. if it changed my life my life would be pretty pathetic. it's just a phone

um, it has changed mine, seeing as information medical wise is right at my finger tips now with the help of iphone + lexi-complete or skyscape for that matter. i no longer need to lug around various items such as a digi-cam or stand alone gps, hell its even helped me slim my wallet, because there is an app that you can take a picture of your membership card with it and can actually scan back (ex. sams club, costco, giant eagle) + with the ikonic edge super slim its made me drop a wallet all together, it holds my phone + upto 6 cards (i only use 3, and if i used my keyring sized debit card it would only be 2 cards) the iphone has made me go from carrying anywhere from 2-6 extra things down to only 1 thing. so for you to say "if it changed my life my life would be pretty pathetic" well your simply out of tune with the times. i get service on the phone no matter where i go and believe me i travel, sure it might not be 3g 100% of the time but ive been able to drop carrying a netbook around as well. yep.. its deff a life changer.

so lets review how its changed my life..

no need to carry a GPS, camera, netbook which results in nothing left out in my car which results in LESS chance of a break-in of my car which results in less stress..

no need to carry various membership cards because of apps for the phone..

no need to carry a wallet do to the accessories for the phone..

i could go on and on but yeah thats my 2cents

Now that I've owned my iPhone a few weeks, and used it on a holiday trip, I can say it has changed my life. Not in any kind of miraculous way but I used to hate sending texts with my 4yo LG--and never sent any unless I absolutely had to. But now with the iPhone, I am really amazed at how much easier and faster it is to compose messages--so now I am already using texting as a primary form of communication, something I said I would never do--so there you go.

My iPhone basically controls my life. Okay not really, but close!

Track all my appointments, email my instructors, my music player, my camera, my camcorder, my portable gaming system.. i am almost lost without it!

I know that it's changed my wife's life (and not for crapper reasons)

shes currently in hospital so i upgraded her (without telling her) to the iphone. Before she couldnt update twitter or facebook and was getting very drepessed.

the staff now say, and this is the gods honest truth, that she is so much livelier with the phone because she can contact friends etc easily. its cheaper to do because of email and the apps keep her occupied so she doesnt think about her illness

So well done apple, you may not have cured a disease but you've helped with the symptoms :D

life changing??? WTF no its a phone.. with cool add ons... and its made by apple. Now my mac book might be have saved my school life.

No reception locally, a bunch of money each month for little data use, and now a dead spot on the screen after the warranty ran out, a device that lasted only 16 months...

Can't even play Landing Zone on the crapper any more.

Will have to go to another brand when the contract is up unless there is a real change in carriers, tiered plans, etc, but I am not optimistic.

I will miss the smart features while traveling. So useful. All this is indeed somewhat life changing, but not life-threatening.

the iphone has made me into a distracted driver, walker, dinner date, worker, and all other things that it could possibly distract me from...

In a way, the iPhone introduced the total smartphone when it was first launched. Since then, the smartphone market has evolved like crazy and we consequently have access to a device with many capabilities.

The fact that we now have access to such thing doesn't necessarily change anyone's life, but rather just makes it easier.

Before the iPhone, I never brought a phone with me to work or around with me at home.

It absolutely has changed my life and how digitially connected I am

One of these days I'm going to try going without my iPhone, see how long I'll last. I can't imagine it would be more than 6 hours.

1. As others have noted, I too spend a lot more time on the crapper since getting an iPhone (curses to whoever invented Solitaire)
2. I've gotten less and less prone to forgetting people's birthdays now.
3. And I spend more money on apps then I ever thought I would.

I don't think it has "changed" my life but it has made it easier. The ability to have the Internet wherever you are really makes a difference and can get you ahead of the game.

Absolutely. Consolidated so many things into one wonderful device. Phone, e-mail, gps, news, games, e-reader, digital camera, weather, music, voice recorder, forum access, etc. Can't really imagine life without it. :)

It changed my life. When I got my iPhone 3G, I was living 3000km away from home for the summer, no internet connection and had a cellphone that was on the fritz. The iPhone helped me out quite a bit. I was able to use it as an internet tool, so I didn't have to go to the Library to use the internet. I was able to keep in touch with family and friends, email photos from my trip and be able to email in a flash, without being near the computer. I used it to navigate myself around places, and it cut 3 devices down to one, I no longer needed a phone, camera and an iPod in my pocket at all times.
