Has your MBP shipped yet?

Ordered 15" MBP on May 2nd. Nothing happend for a week, i then called Apple. They told me it was ready for shipment (this was the 11th of May). Next day i received a mail telling me it had been shipped. Estimated delivery on or before 25th of May..

As of now, i still cant see any updates or progress when i track my order on apple.com. I think its wierd that i dont get any updates on the shipment between 12th of May and now. Now its almost 18th of May, still nothing.

Funny thing is, i just received my invoice today through mail as PDF, though they always ship those afterwards in snailmail.

You guys think I should call Apple tomorrow or just hope it gets here on the 25th? :(

After it ships Apple has nothing to do with the order. You should be given a tracking number, track it via the carriers website.

Ordered through Apple Education Store.

I dont know which shipping company, since it hasnt been updated with a tracking number yet on my order.. :confused:

Thing is, this is how my order looks like, since it was ordered and shipped according to Apple:

In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly.

So, not courriername nor Tracking Number...

How long has it been with that status? Give Apple a call and see if they have your tracking #.

Strange? Should appear in your shipping email you've recieved. I ordered through the Education store as well. There should be a delivery number. If so, then try track your order on the different shipping companys: (remember, that your delivery number is your refrence number on these sites.)

www.tnt.com
www.ups.com

If you just got your shipping email, it can take some time (approx. 1 hour or less) to update your shipping information.

I just tried my deliverynumber on those 3 courrier sites, with no luck. My shipping mail doesnt say anything about who is delivering my package.

Neither does mine. I just checked one of those three and did accidentally found out that TNT was my courrier. :rolleyes: Excactly when did you recieve your shipping email?

Shipped: May 12th.

Current Delivery Status Preparing handover to final carrier 17 May 2010

How the heck can they prepare handover to final carrier 5 days after they shipped?.. :confused:

Never the less, im gonna call them in the morning. This is taken too long if you ask me.

Maybe Apple did mess up their information. Good idea and good luck with your delivery. :) Hopefully, you'll get it soon. I'm still waiting but should recieve my MBP this week! :D

Considering you're in Europe; the shipping time seems to be par for the course.

Did you also order Applecare or another item?

That's an identical situation and status to my order.

I ordered applecare and I'm guessing that there is no final tracking number because there is more than one item in the order. i.e. When the MBP gets to the distribution center in the UK they will combine the items from the order and a shipping reference number will be assigned. That applecare is an idea, and not a physical item is irrelevant. Just guessing though...

I ordered a Green Line sleeve and a Magic Mouse aswell.

Seems my order just updated again, now saying:

In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule

However, I still cant track it, since i dont know the name of carrier. I will call Apple, so i atleast have some clue to when i need to be home for when they arrive. :)
 
Update:
I just talked to Apple. They told me the reason i cant see a carrier name or trackingnumber is because there was a delay from China. It should however have arrived in Holland now and i should be able to track it real soon.

I hope i get it this week :p
 
This will be the last update, cause i will recieve my MBP today! :D That's amazing, only took 6 days from order to delivery, thats what i call awesome!

Just checked the tnt-service and the status is:
18 May 2010 08:48:03 Kolding Out For Delivery.

So I'm very much excited right now! I'm going from Windows to Mac today!

I don't see why a delay in China should prevent you from having a tracking number.

Here's my details...

OK, so purchased 3 May. 5-7 business days to ship.

13 May shipped

17 May, invoiced, but the invoice says Dlv. Date 12.05.2010

Spose I'm hopeful today that I'll get transfer to courier notice and maybe able to track it... but the ash cloud may mean that's a day or so later...

Apple told me, that you dont get your trackingnumber and carrier until they arrive in Europe, no idea why. Last two times i ordered a MBP, i could follow it from Shanghai to Denmark all the way..

I now have this, if it means it's in the UK, it surely can't take 8 more days to arrive?

Mine finally arrived. Ordered through CDW on April 26th and received yesterday May 17th.

CTO - 15", i7, 500GB, 8GB, HiRes-Glossy

Love it! No problems. First mac. Well worth the wait!
 
I'm a bit confused about mine. I ordered it on the 13th May, and got a tracking number 3 days later, and Apple/UPS websites have both said delivery due 19th or 20th. However, my MBP kicking about or just left Korea, so I doubt I'll have it tomorrow, which would be day 6 after I ordered it!
 
Okay just a post to let u guys know that I got my 15" i7 HR Gloss today.

Ordered 15 April
Shipped 8 May
Delivered 18 May

So 33 days in total.

Ordered via reseller. I'm in Melbourne.

Hope no one wait longer than me =)
