Don't upset FedEx if they are lurking. If I get my CTO 17" i7 today I don't care how much their estimate was off!

sooo....mine has been stuck in China since the 17th and still hasn't moved even though it's late on Monday there now.

I ordered Friday early AM. Shipped this morning ETA is Wednesday in Delaware.

Ordered i7 17" w/ 7200 RPM hard drive
 
I had a eta of 4/20 but just happen to chk and it's on truck for delivery. Good thing I did I'd left house with out putting signature release on door. Then I'd been chasing damn truck around the city. So there is hope y'all will come day early also.
 
The status on my i7 17" just changed to "on FedEx truck out for delivery" right here in West Lafayette so It should arrive today... that puts FedEx more than 3 days ahead of schedule on delivering mine to me and I had standard shipping! :D
 
Wow - mine is at local destination facility and it still says estimated delivery tomorrow....I called fedex and asked if I can pick it up and she told me I cant bc delivery is tomorrow, and I was asking questions as to why I cant do that bc its at local office, etc etc....she actually hung up on me!! WOW...... if its not getting on a truck today, theres no reason why I cant pick it up!

Same situation here, with just few minutes difference between my times and yours. What'd we do wrong? :)

Ordered mine a half hour after the store opened on Tuesday.

I have asked that question before, they told me it was an agreement between them and apple. The item must be attempted delivery at least once before you can pick it up...i know...its lame.

Thats exactly what she said....and then hung up on me after...she didnt wanna hear anything else! How did everyone else arrange for pickups then?
 
My order says estimated delivery on the 20th, and it just updated a few minutes ago with on the truck for delivery note!

Central Florida area.

If it's at the local facility, it will most likely be put on a truck and delivered today (assuming it made it to the local facility before 7:30am).

Also, try calling the local place.. They're usually nicer than the 800 #
 
It all depends on where the package is in the system. Sometimes they will patch you in with the local facility to talk to someone that can actually do something about it. If you're stuck talking to the national call center good luck with that.

I don't know anything about having agreements with Apple (sounds fishy) not to deliver early. The product has already been released.
 
I called back to a different person, and he told me its out for delivery today already and will be here before 1030 am! Yippee!! That makes up for that b*tch that hung up on me!

I don't think there are any flights out of Shanghai for FedEx until tomorrow morning (or at least that's what pyschos turned up in his research last week)

Not surprised.. FedEx says they pride themselves on customer service (they call it their "purple promise"), but I think their staff on the 800 # needs a serious kick in the pants. You get completely different answers depending on who you talk to and most of them are downright rude. I feel like saying, "I'm so sorry, did I disturb your coffee break with my inquiry about my package? When should I call back?"
 
This confuses me a bit

My MBP bto, is "at my local fedex facility" arrived in Houston last night. Yet estimated delivery is still 21 April 2010

So...what gives? I don't recall having this last bto I got nor with any international shipping thing, if it arrived early it got delivered early not held for 2 days. Representative on the phone says it is likely in a consolidated delivery freight for Wednesday delivery, so will be unable to get it out before then. I guess I understand that, but 2 day shipping used to mean from source to house, not from stateside arrival to house.

"Kaptajnbaron", God bless you, lucky fellow, there is not much logic in what is going on for the time being. Pls come back as soon as possible with a "signal" when/if you receive your Macbook today or tomorrow. As a matter of fact I have just been in contact with UPS here in Copenhagen. They confirm our general assumption that ONLY the paperwork has been attended to in KØLN. The recent consignments of Macbooks (at any rate with destination Danmark) are STILL physically in SHANGHAI, according to my spokesman in UPS/Copenhagen. And he was not aware himself of any truck transport having  taken place from Køln til Copenhagen...Everything is indeed very confusing, also therefore it is of great interest to hear from you as soon as you receive your Macbook. Mine is with exactly same specs as yours and ordered the same day and with the same tracking notes as yours until today, where you got the very fine info that I did not get...Congratulations and very best regards.....
