Here is the story. You place your order & Apple submits your credit card for authorization. This can take a full day or two. Once your card clears they process the order. Depending on work load that can take up to a day. Then your order goes into waiting to be built. After it's built, it's packed & shipped. It's at this point, the "ships in" days apply. I've recieved a CTO order in as few as six days, and as long as twenty eight days.
Do you guys find that shipping takes longer through resellers? I ordered a macbook pro about 2 1/2 weeks ago then last Thursday Apple cancelled my order because the new macbooks came out so I reordered on Friday. Unfortunately the reseller doesn't seem very keen on giving me a timeframe or tracking #, and my current macbook is slow as hell when I spawn my SQL Server vm so I'm getting a little impatient

Here's mine, anyone want to wager a guess as to when I'll get it? It's headed to the Sacramento area in California with an estimated delivery of 4/22 by 4:30 PM. To all those people who were able to get Hold at Location, did you do anything special? The FedEx rep I talked to said that Apple specifically told them not to allow it... I'm having a hard time believing that...

I'm thinking I might have the record so far for time from order placement to delivery. (Order placed within the first half hour after the on-line store opened on release day).

Just curious, is yours expedited? Mine is headed for Northern California as well, but my delivery estimate is Wednesday before 10:30.. still not movement yet since landing in AK though.
Mine landed in AK at 11:41 AM and it's still stuck there. I'm supposed to get it tomorrow by noon. I'm in VA and I paid for expedited, so hopefully it'll be here tomorrow!
No, mine was the standard shipping option... a choice which I'm regretting more and more with each passing minute!
Same here! I saw that the shipping estimate didn't change between the two options, so I though I'd be smart and just save $18... I would really like to have it by that morning, so that's why I asked FedEx if I could do Hold at Location, but they said Apple doesn't allow this... Which is interesting since other people have been able to do this, I think I'll call Apple and see if this is true.

Yep. Mine was scheduled to get to me by Thursday, but now it doesn't say when. My guess is that it will be sent up here to Ontario tomorrow or over night and then get delivered on Thursday as promised.

Mines going to AZ, but it was interesting to see the tracking info say it shipped from Shanghai to Anchorage. I thought they would fly to Memphis or LA.
I'm going nuts. MBP just sitting around for days, pointlessly. Get the damned thing on a jet and get'r done, UPS/FedEx.
Mine's been sitting in Anchorage now for almost 12 hours, with no updates (not even customs clearance). It's supposed to make its way to Northern California in less than 18 hours. Come on FedEx, make it happen!

Not so far, however it's still listed as "On Schedule". I wonder if mine will go to Minneapolis directly and therefore got a lower priority with customs processing.
Where is it sitting and for how long has it been there??
Mine has been in Louisville, KY since 9:30 this morning (04/20)...I'm in Toronto and expect to receive my MBP on 04/22. I ordered mine from Apple on 04/14....standard shipping.
