Just an update. Apparently FedEx works but does not deliver on Saturdays. Hopefully I will have it on Monday. That would be a day earlier than FedEx's expected date.

Same here. I hope it comes by this Friday, but I got standard shipping which is "6 business days"

Does Prepared for Shipment mean it's just waiting for FedEx/UPS to pick it up?

Mine also! Ordered 12:40PM April 16th. I paid for faster shipping, so definitely hoping it arrives this upcoming week.

Since it's 11:45 PM in Shanghai right now I'm assuming they won't actually be picked up until Monday morning Shanghai time (5 PM-8 PM EST tonight.) I'm sure i'll check the status page about 10 times today anyway though :)
 
I've had the Order Status page on auto-refresh since I ordered on the 16th. Not a thing's changed. Still listed as Not Yet Shipped, with the delivery date as somewhere between the 26th and the 30th.
 
I ordered mine April 19th in the morning and it's still listed as not yet shipped. I have a delivery date of April 27 - May 3. I really hope it comes this week!

This is confusing, it supposedly went out at 3:20 yesterday afternoon but hasn't updated since then. I am only in West Lafayette an hour north of Indianapolis and am not sure if FedEx ships on Sundays because of the warning on the top of their page about Memphis delays.
 
Wondering how long it takes to move from Prepared for Shipment

After having waiting 9 days to see any change in my order status, now I'm wondering how long until the next step... actually shipping! I saw in this post that it took about a day for someone in a non-volcano-effected area. Any other experiences to share?
 
Yeah...all these matte-finishes ordered on the 16th or later getting changed to prepared for shipping makes me thin there's a shortage of 15" high res glossy screens.
 
Ordered 15'' i7 - HiRes Glossy - 128 SSD....still not shipped.

This is getting old. I really need my new computer and one without problems. I would hate to get a faulty machine after waiting 3+ weeks to get it.

I ordered a hi-res glossy on the 19th, and it has just changed to "prepared for shipment" :) So don't abandon all hope just yet :p
 
Does Apple use FedEx exclusively? I kind of hope not. They seem to have a lot of trouble finding my address, which is...surprising. UPS has no problems.

ordered my MBP on the 16th at 4:54PM est. i7, 8Gb, 512Gb SSD, Hi Res Glossy, went to prepared for shipment this afternoon, I will be so much more productive when it gets here, won't be checking the status every 10 minutes.

Ordered mine on the 16th and the status just changed to prepared for shipment this afternoon. I called Apple earlier today and was able to change to 2 day shipping from standard for $15. I don't know if it will actually help it get here any faster but with the talk about 6 days for standard shipping I didn't want to chance it.
