I think it only hits the next stage when it's scanned at the next Transit station.
Mine has moved from Arnhem to Northampton but has stayed there since 2300 on Friday night, I'd like to hope it on route from there to Edinburgh (probly by Horse and Cart judging by TNT's lack of enthusiasm to deliver this package).

Well, I checked the tracking yesterday, just on the off chance, and to my surprise it was finally at my local depot! I had spoken to them on friday and they said they didn't expect delivery until monday and then it might take a day to go through customs (?!) and maybe expect delivery monday or tuesday. Saw it was in the depot, gave them a call and I went to pick it up myself yesterday. So I'm currently writing from my new 17" mbp/7200rpm/glossy high res model Very happy!

I'm in the same place as you then - waiting for it in North Scotland, it's been in Northampton since 22:55 on friday - I'm not expecting a delivery tomorrow but I would hope Tuesday be a possibility!
That's if the Horse doesn't get tired going over the hills in borders and has to have a little rest in a lay-by for four days.
Or it's looses a shoe and they have to try to find a blacksmith.
All in, this has made me realise what a good service we get from the Royal Mail.
If Welly could pick his up then they must of cleared customs. I hope they come tomorrow as I have no one to be in on Tuesday.

Well judging by the TNT website my parcel is in transit...
OK so in the 44 hours since the webtracker updated on Friday it has failed to travel the 340 miles to Edinburgh.
This means that it is travelling at less that 7.7 miles per hour so I could be right about the horse and cart

Hey man, yours looks a lot like mine, except that I'm going to receive it a day before according to the estimate and I skipped Indianapolis (and that saved me a day). I really hope they deliver tomorrow and not on Tuesday though.

I ordered mine on Mon the 11th at 3:30pm (I waited till the end of the WWDC announcements) It is a Macbook Pro 15" 2.4ghz pretty much stock except the glossy screen. My delivery date just popped up on the fedex page this morning. I got the shipping notice early saturday morning. This is pretty much in line with Apple's estimate. I did pay for the faster shipping option.

It may be different in Italy... I don't know, but in North America you can upgrade the drive without voiding the warranty. I know this because I used to work for Apple and I currently own an Apple Authorized Service/Repair shop, so I know all about the warranty. It might be different in Italy though.

Just updated... I guess "in transit" means it is sitting tight for 24 hours. Left Memphis today. Surely you can get yours by tomorrow and I can get mine Tuesday, since you are a day ahead of me. Either way, by midweek we should both be happily playing on our MBPs!!!

Ordered mine Monday afternoon. It was listed as "In Transit" from Memphis as of early yesterday. I live in Louisiana, it wouldn't surprise me if it made it to Jackson, MS and then on to Alexandria where I live in a day. I could very well get it tomorrow! Here's to hoping all of you get yours very, very soon.
I'm very excited about this and I surely hope to get it today (Monday).
If I get it, I'll let you know the second that I receive it by posting here.
What are your plans for when you get it? Are you going to format and reinstall from scratch or you'll keep the default installation? I've heard good things about Quicksilver, OnyX and NeoOffice and I plan to install them right away (as soon as I learn how to install stuff on Macs).
