Has your SR MBP shipped yet?

I got mine yesterday as well. (typing from it now) Smaller power adapter. Everything seems to be in perfect order.

Apologies for not conducting a search to see if this has already been answered but how can I tell the manufacturing week and who made the screen as this info isnt in the hardware browser app? Also, where can I find an app that will show the CPU temperature/fan speed info? (command line stuff is more then ok if its available ;))

Edit: 3 minutes of searching produced iStat Pro which monitors everything. CPU is 45C at idle fans at 2000rpm. Ill test under load later.
 
2nd day shipping my AXX!!!

I've ordered on July 18th, shipped on July 31th, making is way to california and it will be delivered on August 6th. the problem is that I've changed the shipping method to second day! second day MY ASS! I want my money back!:eek:

My laptop is in San Diego already! It arrived in Indiana last night and is now in San Diego as of this morning.

It's funny, I ordered Standard shipping and the Fedex is delivering my laptop so fast. it was estimated to arrive on August 6 but I am certain it will come today!
 
Ordered my 15' Macbook Pro 2.2 w/ 160/5400 upgrade June 27th...just got delivered to the place I ordered it through yesterday...NOW, I get to wait for them to load up all my music warez and THEN ship it to me ... but with all the issues I've been seeing with these models, I'm almost afraid to open the box...
 
My 2.2Ghz SR MBP w/ GLOSSY screen arrived at my office this morning!! I'm actually typing on it right now. This thing is absolutely P-E-R-F-E-C-T!! No yellow-tint or gradient issues. I installed all of the software updates & everything went fine. I also go the new smaller Magsafe!! This has been the longest two weeks of my life! HAHA!!
 
My Macbook Pro arrived in Alaska today, I ordered it on Jul 23rd and it shipped on Aug 2nd (China time so basically Aug 1st California time). They are telling me an estimated delivery by Aug 7th by 10:30 AM, I am hoping it comes sooner but I have a feeling I am going to have to wait the 5 days. I can't wait, come the 7th I will officially be a switcher!

What does it mean when a package is received after cutoff?

It looks like ours are in the same shipment and I believe after the cutoff means that its missed the first plane out of china and it had to wait for the next one. (That's a complete guess though so if someone knows for sure I also would be interested). Mine is also a 17 inch High Resolution Macbook Pro and it is expected on the 7th before 10:30 just like yours.

That's what I think as well. I can't believe it makes me angry that I missed the cutoff which would've shaved several hours off of the inital part of the shipment.

Yep I got the same update, I am hoping it comes sooner then the 7th, does FedEx ship on Saturdays? From what I understand (For my location at least, I am about 2 hours north of Los Angeles) its going to go to San Diego (EDIT: Looking at some other shipments it might have to go to Memphis TN first) and then driven to my local FedEx Facility then shipped. If its being flown to San Diego tomorrow then past experience with FedEx shows that it should arrive at my house on Saturday no problem (If they ship on Saturday) but if its being trucked to San Diego its going to take forever.

Today! Finnnnaaalllly! I ordered on the 14th of bloody July! Anyways, yes, I just checked and am happy I have something else to look forward to today. :) If it arrives soon I can show it off to my mate who's coming round soon, hehe.

I daren't take a shower unless they knock on the door and I miss it. :eek:

Every large sounding vehicle that goes past my house means I have to lean to the window! :D

Just hope I've got no alignment issues with the casing or yellow tint to my screen..

The thing is that a delivery company like FedEx doesn't gain anything from letting a shipment wait for no reason.

From my internet delivery experience, when it comes to shipping, the estimated delivery time is always bigger than the real shipping. (If you take regular shipping who is always like between 6 or 10 business days, but it really takes 4 or 5)
 
Ordered 7.22 and shipped 8.3

First post on this Forum. I'm brand new to the Mac world after 15 years using PCs. Always like the brand and the products but could never justify moving over until the shift to Intel...

Ordered my MBP 2.4 on 7.22 and it finally shipped on 8.3 from good ole Shanghai, CN.

I'm excited yet apprehensive given the recent screen issues brought up on this forum. I'm crossing my ifingers and am hoping for the best.

I ordered a 2.2ghz matte standard config too!

My MacBook Pro arrived at 10 AM this morning and after playing around with it for a couple of hours, I have found no flaws whatsoever with it. There are no screen issues, no wireless issues, and no kernel panics. 10.4.10 was preloaded on it and I updated all of the latest updates with no problems. I absolutely love this laptop.

In my case it was worth going by. My laptop was built in the middle of the estimated build window and it was shipped in the middle of the estimated ship window. It was delievered one day faster than both Apple and FedEx estimated (Estimated to deliever on the 6th when it was actually delievered today on the 3rd).

You sure they don't ship on Saturdays? It would be 2 days earlier if they do.

ah my ship period starts on monday. thank god i'm heading up to a buddies cottage for four days on sunday so i dont go crazy waiting for it.

How are you doing? I just got home and checked my update. Why did it take SO long to go from Indianapolis to here? Jesus.

In any case, I checked their website and it seems like they make residental orders. I could get it tomorrow. I am excited, but I don't want to go too crazy in case something happens. I HAVE TO BE UP!!!
