How are you doing? I just got home and checked my update. Why did it take SO long to go from Indianapolis to here? Jesus.

In any case, I checked their website and it seems like they make residental orders. I could get it tomorrow. I am excited, but I don't want to go too crazy in case something happens. I HAVE TO BE UP!!!

I'm praying that my laptop comes tomorrow. If it does I think I'm blowing off picture taking with the person I'm supposed to take videos with and play with it all day (unless I have to charge it or something CRAZY like that... can't I have it connected.

Oh please please, anyone before get it on Saturday? Any accounts of a Saturday delivery? :\

and it/he/she creeps closer to me.

Haha well you can print out that special "Pre-Sign for shipment" sheet from the apple order status page and not have to sign for the package in the morning. Anyway I am not doing good I am not really sure what is going on, I expected that when I got home tonight (I was in LA for a Dodger game) it would already be in San Diego (Or some other big california city because I know it wont be flown straight here) and hopefully on a tuck overnight towards my local sorting facility, but this is the status I have now:

4:35 PM - Departed FedEx location - INDIANAPOLIS, IN
4:41 AM - In transit - INDIANAPOLIS, IN
3:24 AM - Int'l shipment release - INDIANAPOLIS, IN
1:56 AM - Arrived at FedEx location - INDIANAPOLIS, IN

So i am not sure what happened to it after 4:35 PM EST today.

Maybe the same thing as with me? It took awhile, for some reason, to ship but once it did it was a matter of hours to get to me... Or something :\

Yeah but its been like 12 hours, I just hope its FedEx being delayed in updated the tracking information, If they don't ship on Saturday and it does arrive in my shipping center tomorrow I might call them up and find out if I can pick it up personally.
 
i just want to tell everyone that the MBP is worth the wait. From the time i thought about getting one, to the time i actually recieved it, it was around 8 months. I took about two weeks to order and recieve, but now that i have it, it i've forgotten about the wait. So be patient and it will come soon and you will love it!

Yeah about the same for me, I had been planning to get my Macbook pro since this school year began, my parents promised me they would get me any laptop I wanted/needed (I am going to be a film major) for college as a High School Graduation present. When graduation came around (Coincidental the week after apple updated the Macbook pro line) we had money issues and had to wait a few months to resolve them before I could order it. Unfortunately also around that time my current computer thought it would be fun to die, (Motherboard screwed up or something) it is still working but crashes/freezes/blue screens at random intervals. (Still works, I am using it to type this, it just dies 10+ times a day). So this Macbook Pro for me has been many months in the making and finally an end to all the pain of using my current computer.

Actually on a sort of funny note I have had many Cingular moments (Dropped Calls Cingular Commercials) with the crashes, where I will be talking to someone on AIM and they will say something revealing/heartfelt/ect. and then I just sign off because my computer crashed, usually they were mad until I explained what happened.
 
Hi. Mine shipped on the 26th July and I got it on the 2nd Aug (had to pick it up from UPS/LYNX as the one time that no one was home was when they tried to deliver). I was given the wrong address to pick my MBP up from and had to get the guys at the 2nd address to wait for me a little past their closing time but it was worth the stess... I have a really great machine. Off home to put it to work now... (I'm loving it...:):)

So... no shipping on Saturday. I wonder if any of the 2-3day people get Saturday delivery. Is that part of what makes the 15$ so nice? I called last night about picking it up and they told me it wasn't possible. Hmph.

Nope, no update its been about 36 hours now too. Either they are trucking it instead of putting it on a plane or they didn't scan it for who knows what reason. I am hoping on Monday it will be here but I am not so sure now. And yes I think the 2-3 day people do get Saturday delivery (Not 100% sure though) but they also get priority on faster flights so it might have been here before Saturday had we taken that option.

So you received it on Aug 2nd, did u get the smaller AC adaptor?
 
been keeping tabs on my MBP now that it's enroute.

when my nano shipped, it went from china, to alaska, then came across the states.

my mbp seems to have traveled over to the phillipines? did anyone else's do that? haven't noticed it in recent posts tracking their macs.

My status matches yours to the minute for the last three scans. My expected delivery in LA is Aug 6, 2007 by 12:00 PM.

What's worse is that I want to keep it sealed until Tuesday's event to make sure it isn't replaced with a new model. I don't care about an LED-backlit display, but if a new one comes out with Turbo Memory or multi-touch, this one's going right back.
 
just pretend you get to pick what you get on tuesday, and open it if its what you would have bought when you see all the new goodies

Weird...I've searched all over here, and nobody else (it seems) has had anything going through Subic Bay except you and me. Please GOD, I need this thing by the 8th! I'm going out of town for 10 days on a road trip and -need- the ultimate road warrior!

Wow yours is expected a day earlier then mine and yet you only live 2 hours away from me. Man I hope they come soon, and I don't think anything of that nature is going to be updated, I think its just going to be iLife and iWork.
 
i figured there had to be more out there. my last two packages from apple via FedEx came exactly on time or a day early. my MBP is scheduled to be here by 10:30am on the 8th, and going by their track record [with me] that is probably going to be the case. i hope yours gets there in time.

I would assume that all that all have the smaller adapter. I guess I won´t be heartbroken if mine doesn´t, but it would be nice to have. GET HERE, MBP! LOL.

The crazy thing is that I´m in Spain (trying to type on a goofy spanish keyboard, lol) and have been all summer. I'm coming home for less than one day, the same day my mbp is scheduled to ship to a friends house, then we start on a road trip with my parents to south dakota to see my grandma, to mount rushmore, because it is there, then to colorado for some mountain biking etc in breckenridge and keystone, then back to the chicago area. If that thing shows up and I have it for my trip, I´ll be the happiest guy on the planet.

If not,I'll be buying a slim ps2 and a game or two, or just bring my xbox360, and hook it in to the car. I can only watch so many dvds before I go crazy.

FORGET THE ANGRY FIST!!! IT IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HUZZAH LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!

So weird that they didn't update with an "out for delivery" message. If this happens to you be careful. It was an hour delivery once it was registered at the local fedex place. I signed for it but the delivery hasn't been recorded yet.

I still haven't been updated on the status of mine, (Been about 60 hours now, I just assume they don't update the status on weekends) hopefully I will be notified at around 7AM (My time) where it is. I don't think mine is coming today (Aug 6th) unfortunately.

Congrats that gives me some hope that mine may come today, (If you read my last message you will see I haven't had an update in 60 hours but I am optimistic). Man I can't wait!
