Has your SR MBP shipped yet?

Thanks Shorties (I think of Shorties watching Shorties when I see your nick).

I hope it comes today for you. The last leg of the journey they have been a bit slow/poor with updates. They still haven't updated that I signed for the package and there's no word on when things shipped to other centers or this or that. Very strange. I hope it just shows up for you as it did for me. I really started beliving that it was going to come tomorrow and BOOM... hello mister laptop.

Just in case anyone is wondering, I think I have the new power adapter as well.
 
I ordered my 15" 2,2 matte std.config. July 24 and it just got prepared to ship. How long does it normally take for it to be sent?

Estimated last delivery was Aug 15, so maybe I can expect it early next week? It ships to Norway.

Yeah well we will see soon it will all be over and hopefully I will be typing my next reply to this thread on my new Macbook! :)

Takes about 24 hours is believe, just look tomorrow morning to see your computer beying shipped. :D

The tracking on my mbp just worked, and TNT estimated the delivery on the 10th of august, 4 days from now! i cant wait! :p
 
Crap, well I fell asleep at about 7AM (I had been up all night working on some stuff, they came an hour an a half later. So now my only chance of getting it is going to my local facility at 6:15 (According to the Door Tag) unfortunately they close at 6:30, so I am going to need to find a car to use to get myself over there.
 
I feel your pain; there was a screwup when our company placed the order; someone fat-fingered the ZIP code. I alerted Apple last Tuesday and they said they corrected it, but guess what? It was sent an hour south of here. Another email exchange, and supposedly it's on its way back here. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
 
I ordered on the 27th. It's scheduled to ship Aug 6th-9th. It didn't ship today. :(

How accurate have recent order estimations been for most people? Early, late, on time? From what I see, it looks like it can go either way. I ordered my 2.2/stock/glossy on on July 31st and it's supposed to ship between August 9th and August 14th, and to deliver between August 13th and 17th. It's important that they deliver it by the 16th at the latest, because I'll be going on a long trip and no one will be here to even sign for it. I'm a little worried. :( Best of luck to everyone. :apple:

I ordered a 2.2 with the 160GB 7200rpm hard drive on the 26th and have the same ship by dates. Mine hasn't shipped either. :(
 
looong time lurker. 1st post. welcome me

:apple:ordered mine on the 31st of july. it came today at 9 in the morning. typing on this marvelous piece of machine. i love it.:):cool:

I came back just to check to see how things went. Congrats Shortie. I spent the day editing (over editing) a small video that I'm going to post on youtube tomorrow! I dig my machine (my only problem with the laptop is that it doesn't close completely. It "flys" on either end of the front... The lid is stiff, I see no problems with the screen, the lighting is pretty uniformed and bright (even when just started up) and... um... what are some of the problems other have had. I kinda want to complain about the lid because it seems like it's pretty raised but...

Yeah.
 
Mine is sitting in Indy right now, I can almost smell the fresh electronics...mmmm....should be in 8/8 in the AM!!! FedEx is my best friend right now.

It is sitting in Int'l shipment release in Indy...OMG, I can't wait.

So I'll have that (HOPEFULLY) waiting for me, along with 4gb of ram, carrying case, vista ultimate, a brand spankin' new TiVo HD, a 750gb HDD for a little TiVo HD surgery :D (and even more new electronics smell, God I'm sick)...all of this after an almost 3 month vacation to Spain. Rough life I've got.

My 15" 2,2 finally shipped today. Last day of the shipped-by window. Estimated arrival is Aug 16, but maybe I'll get it a bit earlier.
Still nothing on the tracking though.

i wasn't even expecting it until tomorrow - thank god i wasn't out! So excited. this like the lightest box ever. came right at 10am too......just think...that would have been perfect timing if i were on the west coast.

a small part of me thinks maybe i should just wait until i hear the announcements from the event today before i open it - but i don't think i have anything to worry about. oh apple.

Hi everyone, I have 2 questions:
If I buy a refurb MBP on the apple store, will it ship with the new smaller AC and with ilife '08 ?

Are delivery time estimates reliable? I have a strict deadline...

Hmm...you know what I'm thinking. Aug 7th iLife 08 came out and they were waiting to include it. I hope anyway. And a funny coincidence, after the presentation announcing iLife 08 my Macbook Pro changed from "not shipped yet" to "prepared for shipment". Then in the middle of the night is shipped from Shanghai, CH.
 
yeah funny thing...my MBP shipped from Schenzhen, CN on August 7th...but erroneously indicated it had been delivered in one day...now there's another package under the same tracking number being shipped from Shanghai...did they cancel the first shipment and send me a MBP updated with iLife08? I ordered the machine on August 3...any ideas?

I would think that if it shipped on the 7th it included iLife 08 in it. Hmm...who knows though. Very weird about the order saying it had arrived in one day and then the same tracking number being on a different package from Shanghai. It's pretty funny that both of ours shipped the same day, and I ordered mine on the 26th. Mine was shipped late that night after figuring in they are 13 hours ahead of the US(eastern time).
 
I couldn't stand wondering about this anymore. So I called Apple. And after a long wait and the CSR checking into it she came back and said confidently that I was getting iLife 08! As I suspected any mac that ships on or after Aug 7th has it included! I'm sure that's why mine and others waited to ship on that date.
