Agree with you on the voltage but the problom lies on the outlet type...if they only deliver one type some will have issues...i am sure they provide good outlet depending of the location you order the MBP...

Folks ordering in the US did you have to buy an adapter/kit?
Folks ordering in the EU/Australia/UK did you have to buy an adapter/kit?

if you did not they the issue is cleared :)
 
MacGiver/duskdawn: Sorry guys, you misunderstood me, I meant adapters like "DVI to TV-Out" or an extra Mighty Mouse or something.

The main box of your MBP won't be opened, so the power adapter is in there from the beginning, and it is an universal adapter which can be used anywhere in the world, if you have a physical adapter to match the pins for your local outlet.
 
For those whose MBP was shipped yesterday, they arrived in US!

Yeah I ordered mine on 8/7/07, I hope it gets here by Saturday. I bought the 2 day shipping and my dates are.

i am so happy to hear that! If you guys get your MBPs in the USA this week... it means that i'll get mine in Canada too, like my seller promised me!!! I ordered it on June 19th and it's been delayed a lot of times.

Finally... no more delays... and here i am, counting the very last days before i get into the Mac Universe. After such a long wait!!!

Yep, got exactly the same shipping and delivery dates.
No changes in order status yet for me....
desperately trying to cultivate my patience at the moment :D

I ordered 2 for the school on July 16th.

This probably means that Apple is going to have a MacBook Pro product update soon.
 
Much to my surprise, my MBP is on vehicle for delivery this morning. It was in anchorage yesterday and made it through indiana this morning. Fedex still has the 16th as estimated delivery date but it'll be here any minute!
 
Well mine is still sitting at Indy this morning. It got there around midnight and then at 3:15am it still says In Transit. On the other hand my HP printer that I got free is on the truck for delivery though. :rolleyes:
 
Damn you 1st world country peeps are lucky!

I'm from South Africa - Ordered my MBP (base model with no upgrades) on 27 July! I don't get shipping info or anything! Just gotta phone my supplier regularly with info! Its been 3 and a half weeks so far. I've been told "probably early next week" AAAAAAAAAAARGH!

I even thought about going to local apple shop and just picking up a MacBook - Heck do I really need this damn MBP???
 
Mine came this morning. :D Typing on it right now. So far, so great. It had iLife 08 pre-installed. I think this has been asked before, but is it also on the install discs? I paid for a retail copy a few days ago, but it's still in the shrink wrap. If it's on the install disc, rendering my retail copy useless, would I be able to walk into the Apple store and get store credit?

yes, you should be able to return it for a refund. and it's my understanding that your install disc should include the new iLife also.
 
Well it was supposed to be here today by noon but it still shows it being in Nashville at 11pm last night. I guess I will have to wait another day for it. :(
