Same here, but a poster previously mentioned how his status went from prepared to shipped within 24 hrs, so I'll be refreshing that page more than normally (which means alot lol) this afternoon to see if they ship it then, regardless of the fact that it would be Sunday night or early Monday morning in China. Either way, it would make sense if what you're saying happens.
I have ordered my Macbook on Aug 9th and it was shipped on 11th and scheduled to deliver on 14th

By the way, it should be noted that this is an order I submitted for 2 of the 2.2GHz MBPs stock purchased by my work (a school). I have another P.O. for a third MBP placed on July 5th and it is scheduled to ship on the 20th of August.
I think it's really bizarre that you guys have ordered them as individual consumers well after I ordered them for the school and have got them already!
Last summer I went through the same wait and delay and wait and delay; that time waiting for iMacs. Ordered them in mid-July and they didn't ship to the school until the week after Labor Day. Of course the Wednesday after Labor Day Apple updated its iMac line.
Hmmm....we'll see what happens by the end of the day Tuesday. I'll get back to you all.

Just wanted to share my excitment with you, and am looking forward to joining this nice community

Mine shipped and it is supposed to be here by Thursday. But it has the IP Direct Distribution on it like another users did so maybe it will get here in one day.

I ordered my MBP on July 18th from Sweetwater.com. At the time it said "in stock, going fast." I figured I'd get one no problem. A few days later, I get a call that they're out of stock and won't have them in til 8/5 (which is obviously now because of iLife 08 I'm guessing). So...8/5 comes around, no shipping status. I wait til the end of 8/6 and call up, nothing. I call back on 8/7...nothing. I email sweetwater saying that I'm annoyed and I'd like an answer besides "we were expecting them yesterday" or "they're not in yet" and in response, from my sales engineer, I get the following:
"When your e-mail came directly to me, I was somewhat confused. I thought I explained the situation, and didn't mean to leave you feeling annoyed.
As it stands now, the news is the same. If you feel annoyed, just imagine my response when my customers call in and ask me the same questions, just to leave me to turn and wonder where they are myself. Sweetwater and myself have no control over our orders...and if we had more information on their location, we would announce that.
I would like to do everything I can for you to feel better about this order, so let me know if there is anything that I can do!"
and as of friday sweetwater's site says
"It's Arriving Soon!
We've confirmed this item has shipped from Apple and should arrive in our warehouse within a day or two. Go ahead, place your order now. We will ship it immediately, the very same day we receive it from Apple. Call now. We promise you'll have it soon."
If I don't get it by tomorrow...oooooooooooooooooh I'm gonna be pissed

I have the same ship dates...I'm hoping it ships on 15 and w/ my 2 - 3 days shipping comes by this Friday, 17. School starts Thursday 16, so I don't want to have too many classes without it...here's to hoping...

sorry to sound stupid, but what is "IP Direct Distribution"?
It's Fedex's International Priority DirectDistribution "...which I found out means that the shipper can bundle an entire pallet of shipments destined to a single country (i.e. from China to the U.S.) together and save on both money and customs processing time (since Customs treats it as a single imported package), which FedEx then breaks into individual shipments and delivers them."
googled and found that. it just means all our MBPs that shipped on the 13th are riding together until they get to the US.
Does anybody elses MBP that shipped today have the IP Direct Distribution on their Fedex page? I wasn't sure what it meant but I was wondering if it was just an ADC store thing or if all MBP's that shipped had that on their tracking page.
Yup. It shipped last night as expected. Right now it has an estimated delivery of August 16th by 10:30AM. Yours too?
