I got mine in Durham yesterday and it shipped sunday afternoon (monday morning in china). It seemed to get from anchorage through indiana/rdu very fast.

When did you order yours? I ordered mine on 8/5, still "Not yet shipped". I'm in NC also.

I also ordered mine on the last day of the NC tax-holiday.
Ships by 8/15 - 20
Delivered 8/17-24

Nothing yet. Sigh
Keep us posted...

Do I have any right to complain to Apple about the fact that the company I ordered my MBP from hasn't received their shipment yet? I ordered it on July 18th. They haven't gotten it yet.

I have the exact same dates and my still is "Not yet shipped"...BOOOO....

My order date is the day after yours and still 'Not Shipped Yet'

I was away on vacation for a few days, and called up Apple to check order status. The guy told me it hadn't shipped yet, noticed how long it had been since order date, and bumped me to overnight shipping FREE OF CHARGE :) . Took me totally by surprise when he said that.

I just (6:00pm) checked for about the 10th time today and it now says Prepared for Shipment. Yay!! So how long before you usually get a tracking number or goes into transit?

More then likely it will ship tomorrow and you will have it in about 3-5 days depending on where you live and how long it takes to get from China to Alaska.

Woo-hoo for you!

What's your config? Mine is MBP - 2.4 - 160/7200 - matte screen.

Let us (me) know when it arrives.

...so the answer to your question is 8/6

WTF? I ordered one of these for my work (a school) as early as July 5th and it's still "not yet shipped." When I called my Apple rep about this, he told me that the MacBook Pros are extremely constrained in the education channel right now. It's scheduled to ship on the 20th. But we'll see about that.

that sux...i ordered my through my student discount (Higher Ed) through online store...not sure what to say, but waiting over a month for shipment alone is absurd...

Oh man, same here. It is possible that ordering through Higher Education isn't the same as ordering *for* an actual school. Let's keep hoping... :)
