On the address thing, I noticed when I checked my order confirmations that the ipod and printer had my complete address, but the computer address did not have our apartment number. UPS and Fed Ex are incapable of finding us without it as we live in a large complex. USPS can usually find us. I went in and corrected the address for the computer the day after I ordered it. Maybe you had the same problem?

The MBP is finally in my hands! I literally waited outside in my car by the apartment gates, and approached them while they were attempting to get in. Luckily I was there, because they couldnt get in, so I apologize to Fed Ex for accusing them of not attempting to deliver my package, when they actually did. Anyway, I cranked the bad boy up and everything is perfect so far. I have absolutly NO yellowing in the screen. I feel like such a novice because I dont know ANYTHING about OS X. Oh well, I hope yours comes today! And Happy BDay in advance

That's brutal! I've been reading this thread for the last few days to get an idea of how long I'm going to have to wait for my MBP when i order mine shortly, and I imagine that I'll be mighty PO'd if the same thing happens to me.
Before boxing it back up, you should post a pic of the yellowing screen for all to see so that we all have an idea of how bad it can be.
I can only hope that they're running low on the Sambunk screens before I order mine, that way I've got a better chance of an LG being shipped with mine (and for that matter, with the replacement notebook you get).
Best of luck to you in your return process; hopefully the turn-around time isn't too bad to get a new machine in your hands.
Mine is a week 38 Samsung. I have not tried any of the calibrations or tests, but there is no obvious yellowing in the screen. As I mentioned above, the only defect seems to be the lid not closing flush on the right side. Sorry yours didn't turn out as well

WOW, thats absolutly ridiculous. Mine doesnt have the yellowing at all, and honestly Im not going to do the screen test (probably will give in and do it at some point though
), cause I'm not going to look for a problem I dont see off the bat. Can someone tell me how to look up the model/week of my screen? I thought I did it right, but I might be looking in the wrong place.

this notebook has to lead to one of my really bad days.
I called apple- almost an hour and a half later, i'll be doing a replacement, I told him I DONT CARE WHEN IT COMES AS LONG ITS AN IMMACULATE MBP!The rep tried to calm me down... and if this replacement has issues I'll just be doing a refund for over $2000 you'd expect this issue to be cleared....*sigh* so october is my new waiting game
I hope everyone has much better luck than myself... I want to find samsung headquarter and beat the individuals responsible for quality control with a stick...

I have a samsung screen surprisingly, but I cant tell what the week is. Im almost 100% sure I dont have any yellowing in my matte screen so I guess I really lucked out. Hope you do indeed get a better screen, because this bad boy is an awesome machine.
Yeah!! It's finally at home, now I just need to find a way to ditch work and go home and play with it.

its kind of a big deal because i can't even put a cd in the drive.
the guy at the apple store was good though and he said they would change it no problem. they're going to call me once they get it in stock and i'll go and switch it.
My mistake; thought you meant it was just slightly off-kilter. Not being able to put a disc in the drive is a big deal for sure; but at least it doesn't require the whole thing getting sent back.
Who is the manufacturer of your screen? (I know the screen is fine, but I'm curious if its LG or Samsung anyways).
