Apple has taken the money out of my account, however, there is still no Apple purchase showing up in in my pending area of my bank account. They literally did it within the past hour or so, because I looked at my account when I woke up and it was the same as it had been. I know it is Apple though because it is easy to do the math of $1,000 - my account balance and it is the exact same. Always a good sign...hopefully shipping soon! iPhone X 64GB AT&T. Good luck to the rest of you today!

Canceled online order. I saw availability at local apple store, canceled online order, upgrade eligibility reset in a few minutes. Originally ordered at 3:10 am EST after apple store app wouldn't work, 256 GB, SG, AT&T next. Order window for pickup is 11:30 -12:00 pm today. I feel like apple wanted to hype up the in-store purchases this year by having people have a positive experience with more in-store availability than years past. However this screws over the people like us who get up at 2:40 am to order. o_O

I'll definitely think twice about pre ordering. In my area, folks were able to pick up a phone (w/o pre ordering) well into the afternoon on Friday. They are sold out now, but when I went to check out the phone yesterday, they said they are getting more in this week.

Ok, that's it, wish me luck I'm going to apple store for picking up one and after that canceling my order

Original order: 3:09 AM EDT, T-Mobile 256GB Silver, date 11/17-24.

Changed to 'preparing to ship' yesterday afternoon with credit card charge, and 'shipped' email received at 3:17AM CST today. Email shows 11/15 delivery, but UPS shows 11/10.

My origin scan is literally two minutes after yours. Scheduled delivery is not available at this time. Please check back later. :(

This is the crappiest preorder experience I've ever had. I'll never understand why Apple would let customers that are enthusiastic enough to get up at 3am to preorder wait weeks while the give out stock to walk ins. Feels like long time customers are getting punished for not living in proximity to an Apple store, or paying with Apple's preferred methods.

My card was charged almost 5 days ago. Still OIP... Still 11/17-24
I had pending charge on cc for days for full amount PIF then charges removed. Apple rep told me that approved purchase and then they dropped charges. They will recharge when ships.

No Best Buy, Target, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile stores in your area? Sam's Club? You can go to any one of these places to pick-up in store.
Not with apple upgrade program I am on I have to order from apple or do apple store. No matter mine just arrived anyway but that is what happens if you are on apple upgrade. I gave up on carriers when they always seemed to be late

70% cancelled / 30% is waiting

This has to cause a massive bump soon.
You would hope so right??? Doesn't seem to have helped those of stuck waiting.

I have to say, I pre-order every single year and haven't purchased in store since the 5s (because there was no pre-order for the 5s). This year is uncharacteristically disappointing. Even more disappointing than the 7 Plus last year, because at least Apple wasn't flooding the retail channels with inventory until they caught up on pre-orders. Apple has really gone out of their way to de-prioritize specific pre-orders and that is hurtful and unexpected. As a long time Apple customer who spends more money with them than I care to think about, this isn't what I expect. I don't expect to be passed over for IUP buyers, and I don't expect to be passed over for iPhones that are sitting on shelves at random WalMarts and Targets.

There doesn't appear to be any reason why 3:10 AM pre-orders haven't been delivered already, other than Apple greedily took those orders and is sitting on them, while they flood retail channels and scoop up even more sales with what should be our inventory.

It is unethical, and unlike anything I've seen Apple do in recent memory.

Same here, I have a CC Temporary Authorization on 11/2 and still sitting "Order in Progress" for 11/17-11/24

Ordered APL Store 256GB SG - AT&T Next - Got email confirmation 3:22AM EST on 10/27 Order W57

No CC charge. No status change. Still in 17-24. And I can’t find any stock available for in-store pick up..

Same boat here. I’ll add that I’m on ATT and I originally ordered 10/27 using the Apple Store app around 12:10 am PT (took many tries before I could get in) and got caught up in the Citizens Bank mess that affected many first-time IUP applicants like myself. The original order never went through and I had to do a reorder after I received an email from Apple acknowledging the error. They restored my original delivery date of 11/17-24. In retrospect, I probably didn’t need to do that reorder.

I just might pay a visit to a few Apple Stores, ATT stores, and Best Buys in my area today.....

Word.

My T-mobile unlocked Silver 64GB iPhone X has been bumped to be delivered on the 9th of November from Nov 17-24th.

Very disappointing, I agree. I think it was probably to generate "it's sold out" hype. I will probably think twice about pre-ordering next time, and just go to my local Apple store and pick one up, if this is how it's going to be.

I agree too much hype, and they did seem to overstock stores (and made it a point to tell you they would have plenty). I lucked out though as IUP member who had problems getting in til 12 min past I did get bumped from 17-24 (what I initially got) and then finally to the first batch shipping after launch. Currently restoring from my iPhone 7Plus back up to my new X 256GB as I write this. Arrived today as promised on November 2 when my phone went from 15-24 to shipped and went on the magical Korean mystery tour for a couple days but UPS got it here and it seems most of us are getting ours from that batch ;-)

But I will be very cautious next fall in upgrading. First if I really like my X they will have to have something special to grab me this time around. There is no apple store near me so this is my only choice to maybe score near launch. My carriers are almost always month late so why I switched to IUP last fall. Of course apple will probably come up with something in this line I will want LOL
