Seeing some of the posts on here is really reassurance that after being a 10 year iPhone user and even being part of the iPhone upgrade program for going on 3 years now, I will 100% not be doing a pre order next year unless they do a special window for people in the program or something like that. I own a business and get it for the hype factor, but there are a great number here that went though hell to get this phone and made numerous attempts to do the what looked like correct thing and were part of this 3am fiasco in 10/27.

I’m calling Apple later today to honestly and seriously voice my opinion, not that it will make a dent in this, but it’s not cool as to how so many customers just had horrible experiencs and still haven’t received their phones or any movement on their orders.

Sadly, no. Apple has refused to open a store in South America for years.
Brazil has two stores. In Asia, India has not allowed Apple stores either. Well it has said yes, but has some convoluted laws that require Apple to source 30% products locally made without which it can't get a store license. Do some South American companies have restrictions of Apple for repatriating profits or fixing the foreign exchange rate (official and unofficial)?

When did you order?
I'm wondering the same thing, when did you actually order?? I ordered my 256 Gb silver X in full, 10/27 and got the order confirmation at 3:22 am eastern, so 22 mins after pre ordering began and within 2 mins of me finally getting the apple store to open on my computer, a few mins later the apple store app finally went live too. Still waiting for any bump in action on my order, this seems ridiculous, as many have stated above, given the fact of just how many people at this point have cancelled their orders. Still holding out hope for a delivery by end of this week. Patience is wearing thin though. Regretting my first pre order experience, as getting up in the middle of the night just to get in on a phone seemed dumb enough, but seeing all these people with no hassle whatsoever receiving phones, its downright frustrating.

Got to UPS customer center two or three minutes before 8:00 a.m. Two people in line before me. Walked in at 8 a.m. Walked out at 8:04 with my phone.

Woke up this morning and saw my local stores had availability. So I placed an order and will pick it up this afternoon. Don’t think I’ll preorder ever again.

Ordered 10/27 2:13am confirmation 2:17am 11/17-24 shipping window. Cancelled yesterday and should have a phone today! ☺️

Same as an above poster.

Mine was scheduled to ship 11/17 - 11/24 but I woke up this morning to a notification from Apple that my iPhone X shipped. Already have the UPS tracking with scans from China. Delivery date is this Friday, the 10th. It’s a Silver iPhone X 256GB paid in full on the Apple Store app on Nov 3rd.

What did your order number begin with?? Mine began with W414. I feel like I have a relatively low order number by comparison to a lot of others and I've still seen no movement.

You are right. But I think the issue here (Colombia) is different from India. We have Authorized Resellers everywhere, but no Apple Stores. I guess it is more about the size of the market than legal restrictions. Some brands have official stores here, like Samsung, HP, etc.

Apple products were affordable only by a few people. Chinese brands have expanded a lot here because of their prices. But that has changed a lot in the past 3-5 years. Now one can see people with Apple products everywhere. I'm sure Apple will open a store here before 2020.

My order confirmation came thru at 3:22 am Eastern, so 22 mins into the pre ordering debacle....how about yours?

Also were you paid in full or iPhone upgrade program?

I cant see for sure from my email, but it must have been around 3:10-3:15. Paid in full T-mobile no iup

I agree with you. I'm no longer part of the IUP program, due to this launch and reading about what happened to IUP members last year. I switched to the Verizon Upgrade program. I will either order through Verizon next year, or just pick-up in store like I did this year...on launch day. I'm refusing the shipment of my original order, and exiting the IUP program. Another reason I don't like IUP, is that you are required to buy Apple Care with your order. My issue with this is that I would be paying for two years of Apple Care, when I only need one. I picked up a 1 year Square Trade warranty for $80, which covers everything that Apple Care does, with the same deductibles, and with Square Trade I can file up to 4 claims during the one year that I'm covered, regardless of the damage amount or whether or not it was accidental, etc. It doesn't come with the additional tech support, however that is not something I need. It's a far better deal in my opinion.

Not trying to change your mind but if you are on the iUP you only pay for half, or one year of the Apple care if you upgrade after 12 months not 2 years. Enjoy your phone!

I woke up this morning and I’m still Order in Progress, but I’ve been charged. I hope this changes ASAP. I called Apple twice over my frustration with this whole ordeal. The first person I talked to sent me a coupon for the online store to make up for my “trouble”....it was $45 off a $300 Order...what a slap in the face. So I called the next day when I found out all my friends phones shipped who had the same dates as me. 11/17-11/24. I explained to them that I felt screwed over because of a system error. The new person actually got me a free Apple silicon x case for it. My case has already been delivered....but I have no phone to put in it. I’m on ATT Next and do fully believe we were put on the back burner in favor of IUP.

It is so bizarre to me that Apple prioritized in-store stock over getting more pre-orders out...

But - I guess I'm happy that I got mine in store Saturday morning...

My order hasn't move at all. I checked through my local stores, ATT and Apple and no stores don't have any iPhone X available. This is frustrating and agreed with some people here, next year I'll try ATT
