Maybe it's slowly happening? I can only hope.

Not to dash hope, but mine changed more than a day ago.

Note, my order was one that gave me a "your phone is being held" error while they were 'contacting the carrier'. I received my email at 5:57 PM that day regarding the confirmation.
It was a typical order.

When I initially finished my order, I was 11/17 - 11/24.

A few days later, it moved to 11/3 with no notice.

Here are my only pics showing the order:

That’s me!!!! Ok my date better move

So I got my upgrade preapproved and was ready to go but couldn't get through on my phone. I could get through on my ipad and desktop but got the message that I had to use my iPhone.

I couldn't get through until 3:16, when I placed my order but didn't hear anything back. Finally, at 4:30 I got a message that my loan was approved and at 6:14 (EST) I got my apple confirmation.

I got my 17th - 24th date but after seeing so many of you get a new date with times around 3 AM, I guess I have no shot. I don't get why mine too so long to get processed after I ordered it!

Anyone with a long lag time between order and confirmation email? I finished checkout at about 2:10 CT and I have an email confirmation received at 3:52 CT. I am confident about the order time as I ordered cases immediately after the phone and those were immediately confirmed at 2:13 CT. Similar timeline for my wife’s phone which was ordered immediately after the cases. Apple store app would not load on either phone until about 10/11 past the hour. We both have 11/17-24 deliveries for VZW 256GB one of each color through IUP.

I had a similar latent email prob. I’m glad I’m not the only one. I’m really curious what happened and if that means we’re at the tail end of the 17-24 line.

Like you, I had problems with the app coming up and finally got thru, about 3:10 EST. I had 2 ATT IUP preapproved phones, did one at a time pretty fast with Apple Pay. But no email confirmation until 4:48 & 4:54 EST - about the same difference as you. It didn’t show up in my Order history either until morning. Without the email confirmation, I wasn’t sure if it went thru, but there was nothing else to do at 3am.
I’m wondering if we were caught in the system failure there is talk about.
Except, I then did a new IUP on another upgraded ATT phone and got a ‘reservation, unable to connect with carrier’ message and that email came thru right away.
All three phones are 11/17-24.

Looks like they are bumping based on careier...don’t quote me. I could be wrong. People feom
Tmobile were bumping up rapidly as well as verizon....maybe att is last...

This would be interesting if true. A good theory nonetheless.
Doesn't explain my situation. Seems that either it's random per carrier, due to people who orders minutes after me getting bumped while I'm not, or it's just 100% random.

Mine was very similar. I signed my wife up for a new IUP and she’s getting her’s 11/3.

My situation is almost exactly the same as this!

EDIT: idk where the original quote was but it isn’t this
“All” of you is a very broad statement. Yes, a number of us have, but most still have 11/17 or further.

I got my confirmation email at 03:23 EST

Paid in full Tmo 256gb - still showing 17-24th delivery.

I can't see it being delivered by the 3rd now.
Not really. But I could hope for Monday or Friday next week!

It’s kind of crap Apple is mostly bumping up IUP customers. I know they had issues ordering but so did other people using different forms of payment. Still stuck with 17-24 AT&T. Got the reservation screen on the Apple website around 3:10am, reservation email 5:30am, complete your order almost 2:00pm lol.

it is 100% random! i have been giving apple tons of money since the first iphone was released and to this day they still cant get releases done correctly.

The easiest releases for me has been with the iphone upgrade program and reserving a phone, picking a time, and than showing up at the store on launch day to do the citizens credit check and be on my way. However this year they choose to do the loan application during the reservation process and I do deff think it jammed up Apples servers, combine that with stories of them reaching out to carriers and you have a crap shoot with who gets a phone on release day and who has to wait 2-6 weeks like so many of us.

Either way I don't think that many people will get bumped up, they want hype and thats all this is about really.

If I had to guess, I imagine many of us will get our phones the week of the 10th-17th. With many people with initial 10th-17th dates bumped up and reports of people in December getting bumped to late November dates, logic would assume we would see a bump too by a week or so.

At the end of the day it’s not so bad. With all the reports of shortages being so bad that we would see 2018 delivery dates soon after pre-orders open, getting our devices prior to Thanksgiving is much better than expected.

On top of that, it may not be a bad idea to look at buying from a carrier next time around. It looks like many people have launch day delivery for orders placed long after Apple was already listing 5-6 week delivery rates.
