I talked to apple about doing that and to make a long story short, you would likely run into several issues if you tried. As disappointing as it is, you're better off just waiting for your order.

Ah. I forgot that my order hadn't shipped yet, while yours has. Understood.

I'm curious to something -- you're coming into ANC on UPS67 and some of us on the east coast are hoping to hitchhike on that flight into Louisville. I wonder if those who were on last night's UPS97 are in different parts of the country. So, they held us in Alaska so when UPS67 gets to Louisville, it's a full load that's coming east. I'm in Boston.

If that's not the case, then I really have no clue how UPS logistics works. I just don't understand how something can ship 10 days ago still isn't at the destination. This is borderline slower than buying some copyright-infringing knockoff product off Amazon that's made in China.

I believe I am coming in on UPS49, which is touching down in 40 minutes. I am right next to you in NY. Like you said, UPS logistics makes ZERO sense to me. I try looking for patterns and what not and do not see much. I would love to get to Louisville tonight, because then there is the quite remote chance they send a plane up to the Northeast and try to get these phones out to us tomorrow.

Well how 'bout that?

I actually did make the flight from Anchorage. At 12:50pm, I got the notification that my delivery date had been rescheduled from 11/21 to 11/20. I look at my tracking info and lo and behold, I made it to Louisville.

Wondering how the rest of you got Saturday deliveries. Who can I call and request that?

UPS has had it since 11/9. Monday delivery would be 11 days.

The whole launch has been a mess. Bush League
I understand your point... but honestly, it's not really "a mess" from Apple's point of view (besides website issues). If they quoted 17-24 and you don't have your phone by the 24th, then yes- that is an issue.

However all the tracking details are just how UPS does things sadly. They have until 11/24 to get the phone to you, no matter how many days it sits overseas.

I was referring to Apple & the web site issue, UPS & the logistics

Well this is weird -- I got the same departure scan at 9:47 p.m. out of Alaska but nothing in Kentucky yet. I'm wondering if we did actually make it on that UPS97 flight...although it landed around 9 a.m. EST if I recall correctly.

This changes my outlook a bit. I can sniff a Monday delivery!

just got bumped for a Monday delivery. fingers crossed it sticks

I'm still showing unavailable in the app (although they list it for Tuesday for some reason?) I'd like to set my two-hour window but not sure what day it'll be here yet.

When can we pick that two hour delivery window?

My app is showing I can now, but if I pick the two-hour window and pay for it and my delivery date changes, does that negate my selected window? Or will that window carry over to the new day?

EDIT: I just discovered my import scan arrived in Louisville. Delivery date upped to Monday, 11/20 by the end of the day. This is a best-case scenario for me as Tuesday was a bit of a sh-show. I still might pick that delivery window from 2-4 just so I know when to pay attention to the door, although I'll hear that damn truck from 18 miles away I'll be so tuned in.

(Which will bug my wife because she gets annoyed when I don't hear one of the kids crying overnight...can't help it I'm a deep sleeper!)

UPS49 just landed in ANC, so hopefully those of us on that flight will get an arrival scan and a departure scan on one of the next 8 flights from there to Louisville. Hopefully the earliest flight out there which is around 6:30pm EST.

I'm just asking this out of curiosity: Are you near an Apple store? Did you consider cancelling your order and picking the X up at a local Apple store?
I had considered that but I had looked using iStocknow.com website and none of the Apple Stores in the Orange County/Los Angeles area have Space Gray/Silver 256 GB ATT. They did have Verizon and Sprint phones. I would have gladly charged another phone to my credit card and just returned this UPS shipment if I could. So basically I was stuck with ordering the phone through Apple, which makes me upset that we’re all in this shipment debacle.

Looks like our did make it on UPS97 into Louisville this morning! Just got an arrival scan!!! Delivery updated to 11/20 again!!!
Yay! I guess a lot of us made it to Louisville but didn’t get the departure scan from Anchorage.

Hope everyone gets their phone by Monday before the Thanksgiving weekend.
