That's what I'm sayin! I had to resort to other methods to get mine on 11/3, I didn't get bumped. My buddy had his brother order a couple, one for him and one extra. I was able to get the extra from him. My order is still out there, and it has only gone from the 11/17

In all honesty, I think most people in this delivery estimate window will see their iPhones by the end of next week (11/11), if not sooner. I think after Friday we will see another bump, and more than a one day bump.

I happen to agree, I think by Monday things will start speeding along. I seriously think the phones with an 11-24th date will begin showing up that week. Apple really wants the hype going into the weekend of Nov3rd

My wife's phone order was a PITA. I got mine in, 256 Silver X for Nov 3 delivery using iUp. I did not get the phone correctly at launch, because Apple had major issues contacting my service provider's (AT&T) servers to verify my details. So I got the reservation splash screen. I got the email a couple hours later and was able to check out and got a November 3 date.

My wife's phone order kept failing when trying to authenticate her details via AT&T. It kept timing out. Finally I got to filling in the personal info for the Citizen's One loan, and then I got some error about how there was a problem processing the application, but not to place a new order. Wait for an email it said. So I did.

That email came about 8 AM eastern and said the application failed. But I wasn't sure because the email came from Apple and I was expecting the email to come from Citizen's one. Anyway, long story short, her original window was going to be November 10th-17th. But it turned out I had to place a new order for her. So I did.

The new ship date was Dec 11-18. But a couple hours after I placed a new order, Apple emailed me to apologize for the application trouble, asked me if I placed a new order and if so to provide the order number. They said if I didn't place a new order, to do so.

The next day, the Dec 11-18 ship by date became Nov 17-24 DELIVERY estimated date.

So while I can say with 100% certainty that I can understand not believing people, I know for a fact that my wife's phone moved up quite a few weeks, due to Apple and ATT server issues. Apple made it as right as they could. And I am grateful.

I am happy for you, and your wife. But neither of these examples are what we were talking about. Anyway it doesn't matter, liars are liars (I'm not implying that you are).

I am just providing examples where Apple has indeed moved up delivery times. It's not far fetched.

It's also incredibly hard to prove. Once the order screen shows the new date, it's not like you can go back in time to show the old date, unless you had the foresight to take the screen shot then.

And if people really need to lie about something on an internet forum to feel good about themselves, why bother fighting it? It's not bothering them, I can tell you.

There's so many stories out there, and to be honest this is exactly what apple wants. They want a frenzy with a ton of hype behind this release.

Could the two of you please send me any documentation (post or PM) that these "freebies" were real, that I can use to prove to the Apple supervisor who calls me back that people here aren't blowing smoke up my butt like the last Apple rep claimed? He claimed everyone here was a liar. I'm not holding my breath that I'll even get a call back, but...

I'm only talking to them about this because I'm irritated by the crashes that delayed the ordering process, and the fact that they didn't hold a phone for me for 11/3 pickup when that was the ETA when I got the reservation 10 minutes after the store opened - while others who ordered later and didn't get the errors still got the launch day delivery that was supposed to have been reserved for me.

I agree, I'd like to see these as well. Hell, I'd rather have a $150 Apple Store credit over Air Pods. Air Pods suck IMHO but to each their own.

I am not doubting things like that. I just do not believe a lot of these people that are saying they called Apple and talked to a Senior Advisor and got bumped up. I was specifically told they cannot bump anyone. I would think the only people that can do that are the way higher ups. I shot an email off to Tim Cook just telling him that is an embarrassment for a company like Apple to put us loyal customers through that absolute mess of a preorder process. I mean the Apple Store App came online at different times, for different people...not being able to contact AT&T's (my provider) server...me getting to checkout with an 11/3 delivery date and when I click checkout, the website crashed and reset, so I had to start over and when I selected my iPhone X config. it said 11/3 delivery date but after I was done checking out I got the email that said 11/17-11/24. It is just embarrassing for a tech company like Apple. They had a pre-run with the iPhone 8/8+, and I know the demand was not as high but still. Also the 55 country launch...Apple will never do that again I predict. That was as stupid as it comes with the low supply of the iPhone X.

I agree 100% my friend. Between the supply scare and everything else, they get free marketing and advertising all the way around. It's genius from a business perspective.

As I was sitting here reading this thread I got a notification from my bank that two charges from Apple just hit for my phone and my wife’s phone.

No change in delivery date yet, but they don’t charge until they’re getting ready to ship, right?

Nope nothing

Do not tell me AirPods suck, bro! That is what I got from Apple basically free. Why do you they suck, please be honest. I can always retune them and get something different, probably a few things since a charging pad is $60.00, and I would have $90.00 left of my $150.00 credit.

Obviously I will try them out to see how I personally like them. Everyone I have talked to loves their AirPods!

I think AT&T definitely effed things up to be honest.

I was hard resetting the app on both phones on my lap at 3:00 AM EDT. After a while I realized I didn't need to hard close/open the app to get it to refresh, so I started just closing and opening it. I think I finally got through on mine at 3:04 AM, but my wife's couldn't. I was filling out my details on my phone while still working to get her phone into the store app... And I closed and opened the app too fast and missed when it loaded the store. It took me another 5 or so minutes to get back into the app on her phone. Extremely frustrating. And then to have the application for iUP fail was killer.

Exactly, and for the IUP members, the ONLY way we could order (with our pre-approved options we picked prior) was via the Apple Store app. This was the route we were told would be the easiest, and the quickest, and we got the shaft. Look, I can wait 2-3 weeks, that isn't the issue. The issue is that I specifically was on the fence between the 64GB and the 256GB. When I saw that the 256GB was the only one available for Silver/Verizon at launch, after the first Apple Store app crash at the end of the order, I chose the 256GB - with the November 3rd date! Then the next day I get the 11/17 - 11/24 delivery window. That is misleading, and it is flat out wrong.

I love the AirPods, enjoy them and be grateful you got something free.
