I am not doubting things like that. I just do not believe a lot of these people that are saying they called Apple and talked to a Senior Advisor and got bumped up. I was specifically told they cannot bump anyone. I would think the only people that can do that are the way higher ups. I shot an email off to Tim Cook just telling him that is an embarrassment for a company like Apple to put us loyal customers through that absolute mess of a preorder process. I mean the Apple Store App came online at different times, for different people...not being able to contact AT&T's (my provider) server...me getting to checkout with an 11/3 delivery date and when I click checkout, the website crashed and reset, so I had to start over and when I selected my iPhone X config. it said 11/3 delivery date but after I was done checking out I got the email that said 11/17-11/24. It is just embarrassing for a tech company like Apple. They had a pre-run with the iPhone 8/8+, and I know the demand was not as high but still. Also the 55 country launch...Apple will never do that again I predict. That was as stupid as it comes with the low supply of the iPhone X.

The senior advisor did upgrade my shipping from 11/17-24 standard shipping to 11/15-22 2-3 day shipping. She did it on real time, as soon as she updated it it showed up on my order within 15 mins. She was even shocked.

Now for the 11/3 release day upgrade, she said she doesn’t power to do so and she had to “submit my case”. So I guess it was my luck.

Do not tell me AirPods suck, bro! That is what I got from Apple basically free. Why do you they suck, please be honest. I can always retune them and get something different, probably a few things since a charging pad is $60.00, and I would have $90.00 left of my $150.00 credit.

Obviously I will try them out to see how I personally like them. Everyone I have talked to loves their AirPods!

Ha ha I just don't like them. I don't want anything dangling from my ears like that. From a design perspective, they are hideous, from an audiophile perspective they are sub par. Just being honest. I don't care if you or anyone else likes them. You got them for free so it's all good :)
 
I think AT&T definitely effed things up to be honest.

I was hard resetting the app on both phones on my lap at 3:00 AM EDT. After a while I realized I didn't need to hard close/open the app to get it to refresh, so I started just closing and opening it. I think I finally got through on mine at 3:04 AM, but my wife's couldn't. I was filling out my details on my phone while still working to get her phone into the store app... And I closed and opened the app too fast and missed when it loaded the store. It took me another 5 or so minutes to get back into the app on her phone. Extremely frustrating. And then to have the application for iUP fail was killer.

See, I am on the east coast (do not know where you are) but it seems for the east coast the Apple Store App did not (at least for me and others I have seen) get live until 3:10-3:11am EST. So some people had a 6-7 minute advantage, not to mention apparently Verizon was up 10 minutes before 12:00am PST/3:00am EST. Those orders should have been cancelled!

My bank app does not support TouchID so I'm frantically checking now... copy pw...paste pw.... copy pw... paste pw... :)

Happy to hear 11/16's are getting charged. Mine is 11/13 right now so maybe... just maybe...

I got charged also and status changed to preparing for shipment. Still shows 16- 24 shipping date.
Subs of Philly here man. I am telling you, I sat and legit refreshed the app non-stop.

AT&T servers are what effed me. I got lucky on my phone that I got a reservation. My wife's phone kept failing over and over when I entered my phone and SSN details but I kept trying and eventually it "worked" only to fail.

It seems any time I need to do anything THRU apple FOR ATT, it gets effed up. Just seems to be better to go right to AT&T.

But screw them and their $25 upgrade fee.
