3:10 EST is when the Apple Store App came online for me as well. I hope they are not giving priority to people who paid in full vs. ordering any other way, as that would go against Apples statement of "first come, first serve." It already appears they are bumping people on the IUP because of that monumental screw up, however, I am an AT&T customer and that was a monumental screw up with AT&T’s verification system, so should we get bumped?

I do not want anyone to get screwed, but Apple needs to make things right. Second year ordering from Apple and most likely not getting my phone on launch day. I thought last year was just a fluke, however, I now am starting to think Apple is NOT learning from their (and carriers) mistakes and this will continue to happen in the future. Apple should have their engineers at AT&T/Verizon/Sprint/TMobile's server centers NOW preparing for next year so we do not have any of the issues that we had this year. Apple has high standards for everything else, why shouldn't they demand high standards of the carriers servers/networks? If the carriers want to sell Apples iPhones, they should be prepared or not be able to sell them! Apples launches happen EVERY year, you would think they would have it down by now!

END RANT.

Totally agree. Got my reservation email only earlier today (Sunday!) after I thought it would never come. Only to find out I'm in a weird window of November 20-27 (haven't seen anyone else here with that). I'd expect a bump same as with the IUP but not holding my breath

Ordered via Apple Store App on iPhone; got on as soon as the Apple Store App came up at about 12:03; paid in full with Apple Pay and was done in 2 or 3 minutes; still got delivery dates of 11/17 - 11/24 o_O

anyone here with a delivery order for 17-24 Nov have their order status move to "preparing for shipping" ?

thanks to the website repeatedly kicking me out at the checkout stage i placed my order at 12:20 PDT and my order has been on "Order in Progress" ever since. Apple has not charged my card either, spoke to a rep who said at the order placing stage they only apply a pre-authorization charge of 1 Dollar (cant find it in my statement) and that the full charge will be applied when the phone is ready to be shipped.

Yeah, it was down for over 5 minutes for me too. Orders became available at 1:03AM here, and I immediately found that I could not load my previously saved phone in favorites. I also could not load previous orders or get to my account. It was not accessing any part of my account. After 2-3 minutes I went to select one from scratch and I had a 11/3 pickup date, then it went to contact AT&T for some reason.

I kept getting errors for the several minutes after picking my phone and trying to get to the next screen. Finally I got a screen asking me to enter my phone number and then more errors. Eventually I got the reservation screen at 1:12AM after orders opened up. Apple HAD NO REASON TO CONTACT AT&T when I'm paying full price up front.

Basically the same thing happened with me, except I was doing the iphone upgrade program for the 3rd year in a row. That dumb reach the carrier message? My question to Apple is why are you reaching out to my carrier? The whole point of me doing it through you is to basically bypass any BS with my carrier (verizon) As the days get closer I get a lil bit more pissed off because this should not be so hard for people who are either A- Buying this phone outright, or B- On an already existent program through Apple and are eligible for an upgrade to a new phone... Fail IMO.

Could not agree more!

Late to this party, but I posted this in other threads... I got my phone order to go through and got a november 3 delivery date...

But my wife's IUP application failed and I had to place a new order for hers even though I got both through at about the same time... Initially that phone was supposed to deliver Nov 10-17, but after the failure of the application, I had to re-place the order. Got a delivery date of December 11-18.

Later in the evening on Friday, I got an email from Apple indicating that they were aware of my trouble with the iUP application, and to let them know if I placed a new order and provide the order number. Or, if I hadn't placed a new order, to place a new order and provide the order number.

By late saturday, my wife's phone delivery date went from December 11-18 to November 17-24.

Not quite as good as initially quoted, but certainly happy that they did something!

If you’re delivery date is 17-24 I wouldn’t expect your card to be charged or moved into preparing for shipping yet. They will charge your card and then your order will. I’ve into the PFS stage.
