apple site, paid in full, AT&T, Silver 256
Orig delivery 11/17-24
Still the same

Any benefit perhaps to get on the Upgrade program now, after the fact? Does it indeed seem that the IUP people are getting a solid here?

Do you think we can expect another bump?

Since new orders are getting 3-4weeks delivery, 4 weeks from today is exactly 12/1... I'm thinking about placing a new order just to check if I get a closer date.
Honestly I don’t know, the second one was a backup. I’m considering cancel.

Just picked up 2 at my Apple Store (Dadeland). Was 198th on a line of 200 at 6am. By the time I went in, there were 200+ behind me. Was able to go in, get both of mine unlocked in Space Gray and Silver, with 256GB each. They seemed to have plenty of stock. I bet Apple diverted iPhones to stores a lot more than usual this year.

I just cancelled my 2 online orders for the same configurations above which have not moved and been sitting there hatefully saying 17th to 24th since the start. Hope someone gets bumped :)

Ditto on everything.

Tried calling all of my local carrier stores (Tmobile) and they all said they got NO shipments in for launch day. Was all allocated to pre-order.
Glad I went with Apple, T-mobile pre-orders are a mess and a half.

Apple gets their money upfront no matter how you purchase it.
Exactly, the Creditor that you get the loan through actually gives them $$ upfront. You then owe the creditor, and are in debt to them if you stop paying. Apple isn't sitting here waiting on your money each month.

The sense of entitlement some people are displaying in here is ridiculous lol. ‘If my phone doesn’t get bumped up sooner I’m gonna tear down all of the planets of the solar system!’ Relax guys lol.

I ordered mine full price at 3:11am and it still shows up as 17-24. I hope it gets moved up but if not, it will all be okay.

I was originally 11/17-11/24, then moved to 11/16. Now I, too, have a shipping notice and tracking number that says delivery will be 11/6, Monday.

Well, this morning it showed an arrival scan in South Korea so I am wondering if 11/6 is realistic.
11/6 is realistic. But I was hoping for a 11/3 and I don’t think that is now...

Hey Guys,

So I cancelled. EFF APPLE... Ordering experience to be specific...

I took my chances... went to the mall and got there around 7:30 AM, about 100 ppl ahead of me. They came around taking reservations, and I got a spot.. Doors opened at 8am, we were in for a long wait.

In the corner of my Eye, I saw a store opening its doors as well... it was AT&T.. Told the fella in line next to me, you'll remember me if I come back, right, he said off course..

I didn't come back :)

ATT took care of me... They waived any upgrade/activation fees as courtesy, They gave me an iPhone 8 Plus virtually free (had to open a new line, but gave me a credit for the life of loan to offset the additional line charges), anddddd $100 applied ontop of all that, because I chose to buy the phone with them instead of Apple..

PS - I had to buy it on NEXT (thats how ATT gets commission from APPLE) but can pay it all off after 30 days. Exact same price, nothing additional, no Gotchas

I really wish the best for all of your...

EFF APPLE, EFF IUP

Very happy for you but this is what pisses me off. I completed my order at around 3:06 and received a confirmation email at 3:10, but somehow i have no movement. I got charged yesterday at around 3-4AM for the tax but have seen no movement. Still OIP with a delivery date of 11/17-11/24

256GB Silver, first time IUP, AT&T, Apple store app

Same.

Still the same for me too. Just went to OIP...checking constantly :(:(o_Oo_O:apple:o_Oo_O:(:(

Tried both app and safari to order. Wasn't able to get through until 2:11:CST and confirmation complete by 2:17 CST. Order number starts with W558. I wonder if people with the same order #s are grouped in batches together

They’re getting the money from Citizens One. Citizens one is collecting the installments and will handle delinquent monthly payments, not Apple. Granted they’re getting something out of the arrangement but Apple’s getting at least some of the full payment. I can’t imagine any other way.

OK, but certainly Citizens One is getting something, whether it is .05% or 3.5%. My point is that Apple gets the full amount with those of us that pay in ful

I would think Citizens takes a higher percentage than a standard credit card processing. Apple would come out ahead with those of us that pay in full.

At this point I am feeling like a broken record but here we go again.

We have a very small sample size here. I think more people in this thread used the iPhone upgrade program than any other method of payment, so we are seeing a lot of movement. The sample size is too small to determine whether one group is actually getting preference over another.

I got my reservation placed between 12:05 and 12:10 and am seeing people who paid in full or used carrier programs after me get their phones shipped first. I’m on the iPhone upgrade program. I have had no movement on my order and no charge. I am still 17-24. Apple is not doing this to be evil, there has to be some kind of a method to their madness.

It’s likely a combination of the phone you ordered, when you ordered it, where you live, and how many other people near where you live ordered at a similar time to you. I’m in a smaller city in Oregon and don’t doubt that’s why I haven’t seen movement. They probably couldn’t fill a truck to me so they bumped others ahead of me. Yeah it sucks but what can I do?

I'm not sure why a large corporation whose number one priority is shareholders deserves the benefit of doubt that "there is a method to the madness". Apple isn't doing anything out of kindness, let's understand what their incentive is and not blindly trust them.

I wonder if people with the same order #s are grouped in batches together

It is completely random. My first order is W57 and my second order is W42. First order was done and confirmation received before the second was even started. Neither have updated and both IUP new enroll 256 ATT SG and Silver. 17th-24th delivery.

W58 order.
no charge. OIP.
Delivers 21 Nov - 28 Nov by Standard Shipping.
I guess people ordered from apple directly will never get bumped.
