Have any 11/17-11/24 shipments been bumped?

Get this, Apple claims they aren’t aware of any orders getting bumped up, and it’s first come first serve. So people ordering hours after midnight who got their phones today or the 6th are all lying I guess...

Potential good news for folks (like me) still in OIP limbo.

Called my local VZW reseller and they said they had some in stock. Went to go get one through them and then cancel my Apple order through IUP. When she started the process, she noticed that the line I was going to upgrade was showing as locked because I did a preorder. She called Verizon and the rep said it was locked because my preordered device had been moved to being shipped. She said it looked as if it had been shipped today. She said if it was shipped today, I would receive it on 11/6 or 11/7.

My order status on Apple Store is still showing Order in Progress - Delivery date 11/17-11/24.

Hopefully they're just slow in updating order status.

I’m starting to think what’s the point of ordering if they messing with us like this...

That's great news! That was my concern with going to the apple store today - canceling my apple order and how fast it would release the Verizon lock.

i wasn't able to change anything on my order and I even contacted Apple directly.

Actually TMobile preorder was great. I ordered 256gb silver at 3:10am from Apple on 10/27 and got a delivery date of Nov 10-17. Next morning called T-Mobile at 9:30am and got delivery date of Nov 3-10th. My phone is out for delivery now. I cancelled my Apple order.

I am beginning to think that the status is changing behind the scenes too... my reference number used to pull my apple watch shipment and now it isn't. Perhaps this means there is a label in a queue for me?

Is there anyway to verify where the phone is? Now that you mentioned behind the scene..

No, IUP has yet to prove itself as better. Apple is simply expediting some IUP orders because they, again, had issues with credit processing this year (just like last year) and they are trying to avoid getting hit with another class-action lawsuit like they did last year. There is no standard rule that IUP get priority. That is just happening now because reasons.

Apple will deny that this is happening, but they can't hide when the customer base can see it happening.

It happened last year with in-store pickups for the 7, and is happening again this year with online orders. They told all IUP members that the app would allow for the quickest checkout, as they were pre-approved for the upgrade. And sure enough, while the app was slightly delayed and most AT&T devices had pushed back delivery dates, orders are now expedited.

I had no issues with credit processing. I was pre-apporved, the app was delayed by 10 minutes, received a pushed-back date, and am now receiving my X on Monday. Most people who had issues with online ordering and aren't IUP are still facing delays.

That's priority. The pre-approval expedited the checkout process, and the orders were processed faster.

The rep I chatted with yesterday said the exact same thing.. Has to be what they've been told to say.. Hope we all get bumped today..

lined up at at&t store on Long Island this morning and purchased silver IPX 256gb. Cancelled my apple.com order as soon I knew the store had stock. Out of curiousity, stopped by the local apple store on my way home (which was 30 minutes after they opened) and was told they had the same model in stock. Unbelievable. Never in a million years did I think it wold be this easy
 
Guys my order is still in Korea, won’t get it until 11/6. Already got charged. I’m in IUP.

So - if I want to go into the store today or sometime this weekend, what should I do with the IUP one that’s coming?
