Ordered on the app at 3:20a Eastern. Verizon space gray 64gb.

I got an 11/17-11/24 ship date originally, which moved to 11/16-11/24 a couple of days ago. Then, I saw today that my credit card was charged. My order has moved from “order in process” to “preparing for shipment”, but the date hasn’t changed.

Not sure what to make of it. Would be nice to get it early, but I’m not going to hold my breath. Has anyone else seen their order status change?

I'm beginning to think there's an issue. I just saw a report on the news that people are in line at the new Michigan Ave store in Chicago and still walking out with iPhones! If I don't get charged and moved to PTS I'm taking the chance and going to to a store tomorrow!

Welp, it has been a pleasure everyone. It was a rush while it lasted. I hope you all get your iPhone X's sooner than later.

Lessons learned:

Forget IUP
Forget Pre-Ordering, and the waking up at 2am (Central) nonsense
Don't listen to the advice you get online, go with your gut.
Forget camping out at a store

Waltz into the store nearest you on launch day, after checking their supply and calling to confirm, and waltz out 20 minutes later with your shiny new iPhone!

No change here. Also haven’t had it even bumped to 11/16. No charge yet, nothing.

i have a pre order for 17-24 window for att next. However if the store has stock tomorrow how do i make reservation since i already have one pending on the same line?

I’m gonna assume I’m not the only one here thinking this. But how on earth do you “run out of pre orders” in 12 mins or less and then send all these phones to stores for people to pickup. I’m sorry but if you’re here to pre order in the first hour or two, you should basically be guaranteed a phone before any of those types of store and third party retailers get their hands on the devices for launch day. Seems like you’re sticking it to the people who went all hardcore,to get their hands on this device, whether for the first time (myself) or every year like some of you.

I should preface this by saying, I’ve been all in on Apple since about 2003, this is just the first time I got super hyped for a pre order and jumped on it. Nothing like waking up at 2:40am Eastern to get your ducks in a row and not have any active Apple store online or thru the app till 18 after. Figured it was my actual birthday (10/27) so even my wife couldn’t get mad at me for setting such an insane alarm lol

AT&T Next, 256 GB, Space Grey, ordered 12:09 AM. Delivers Nov 17-24.

Walked into Target at noon today and picked up a Space Grey 256 GB after cancelling my order through Apple.

AT&T paid in full silver 256. Got the order in around 2:12am CDT, email confirmation at 2:14am CDT, still showing 17-24 delivery. No credit card charges.

Been seeing lots of success on the forums with folks going to their local AT&T and Best Buy stores, so I went to both of mine. My local CORPORATE AT&T store said they didn't get even one device. My Best Buy said they only got enough to fulfill their preorders. I didn't even bother with the non-corporate AT&T stores.

Stopped in at Target, they didn't get any yet either, but have been told an order is on its way and will arrive either Saturday or Sunday. First come first served. The guy offered to take my name and number and call if they got one...I then told him thanks, and that I'd slip him a $20 if he gets me a phone! LOL

My confirmation email came thru at 3:22 am Eastern, so 22 mins after it opened (within 2 mins of finally getting it on my browser or app)

I think after some back and forth they have decided they like the in-store launches, lines etc. For once they waited until they had enough inventory and supplied the stores with plenty to serve walk-ins.

No matter what they do people will get upset. There is likely still more demand than supply, but fears of severe constraints proved unfounded. Perhaps the six week delay was exactly what they needed.

starting to hate IUP people

What time did your credit card get charged?

Completely agree. I can understand if walk-ins and online orders were similarly back-ordered but that’s clearly not the case. I called a local Verizon store and they had stock (just not the SG which I want.) I’m seriously considering cancelling my 11/17-11/24 pre-order and just winging it.

Anyone who had UPS arrival scan in Korea see any movement since? I haven’t.

Not mine or many others but one person who has same arrival time as us in aiprort has it now in Anchorage so I am thinking the UPS servers are screwing up again as usual....

I have seen others in another thread with their Korean path phones in Anchorage probably via the. UPS99 flight that left Korean site a couple hours after arrival. But equal numbers with no update this is what I get a few minutes ago

I am hoping the busy day for UPS is leading to incomplete scan data comming to us and all our phones will be in Louisville by tomorrow

UPS99 leaves Anchorage in 3 minutes from now

I went to my local store in Cincinnati, I had no reservation and I was able to buy a silver 256gb. It was around 3pm and there were 4 people in line. I think they have plenty in stock. Although they couldn't tell me how many in stock, they said that they have been able to fulfill all walk ins and all reservations.

Just cancelled my online order that had estimated delivery 11/17 - 11/24. Ordered on 10/27 at 3:29am EST.

I suggest to go to the store if you have one nearby.
Same exact experience here in New Jersey store. Walked right in...wife was out in 10 min with my new phone.
