No, if that iPhone X from UPS/FedEx is not touched at all, for example, activated. You tell UPS/FedEx you do not want it and they make a note of that, and also put a sticker on the box saying you did not take it at all. If Apple tries to charge you, just call them and tell them you got one at an Apple Store and did not take the one coming from UPS/FedEx. They will (or should) not charge you and if they did, they will give you a refund.

What I'm saying is, if you've already purchased a phone under IUP, you cannot go into a store and buy another today - which is what the OP was asking. Since you've already been approved the loan for the X, and the phone is being shipped to you, the only other way to purchase today (before his delivery on 11/6) is to pay in-full, or sign up for a different installment plan with a carrier. Both cases you would still have to pay for the phone you currently using with IUP.
Sure you can not accept the UPS/FedEx phone, but you can't purchase another under IUP if you currently have one on the way.

U can purchase another under the IUP it just has to be under a different line of service than the one that's coming to you. They'll also do another loan and credit check as well.
Sadly that's what I'm wondering too... Tempting to stop by an Apple Store to check stock, but I'm in southern CA so the stores get crazy busy.

Dude I walked into an ATT store over by brea two hours after they opened and got a Silver 64GB no problem. Obviously cancelled my order with apple, I dont think these things are as hard to find as you may think.
I'm iup, ordered as soon as the store came online, and I'm still stuck with the 11/17-11/24 date. This is the 5th straight year I've gotten the newest phone, and it's pretty incredible how badly Apple has botched it.

Of course, but I doubt many people are going to want to change their number and start a new line of service just to avoid a wait until Monday. That's absurd.
Plus, you still have to pay out your current iPhone loan with Citizen One if you do this.
I give up.. I have more important things to do and can wait another 72 hours.

Yeah buddy. I rolled into Target down the road and picked mine up w/out the forced Apple Care nonsense, in 20 minutes. No waiting in line or anything. Never doing the online pre order garbage again.

Did not pay in full. This is a new IUP. I bought a couple cases but they are also on my credit card.
