Why do you need a 5s? What does it offer that your 5 doesn't?

What apps do you use that will take advantage of the extra speed?

I'm just a bit confused as to why you feel a compulsory need to upgrade when you've barely had your existing phone for a year.

Personal preference, touch ID, and better camera. Also I have an early upgrade for $50. So I'm actually making money off this phone.

Agree about the touch ID ring on the space grey.. I do have this one and wish they made the metal ring stand out a bit more.. When the space grey is in a case, people don't notice it as much as the all black front looks like a standard 5 at first glance.

The white one has the cool looking silver/chrome ring. Which people will identify with the 5s.

A few people at my work got the 5s the same time as me. We all have some type of case... In meetings the other coworkers notice the white and gold ones pretty quickly because of the ring.. Mine.. people don't notice as much.

Except for that space grey is still very cool

This cracks me up. Who cares if people wont notice that it is a 5s ? Do you have some weird notion they will be impressed or something?

What a joke lol

Feminine?

I do agree that your phone does reflect your personality since it is essentially an accessory that you carry all the time. However, I prefer white as it seems more "luxury".

Experience: I have a white iPhone 5

I've alternated colors every time I get a new one, just to aid the fact that I'm getting a new phone. Went from a black 4 to a white silver and now have a space grey 5s.

Space grey is awesome, my 4 was black and my 5 is white too but I'll stuck with my iphone 5 and look forward to space grey ipad mini ( hoping for retina screen :D )

I have the Space Grey, and I like that the touch ID ring is the same color as the rest of the front. I tihink it would annoy me if just the ring were a different color. It'd stick out like a sore thumb -- sorry, no pun intended. IMO, solid colors look more classy. I never liked the two-tone look even in the 5's slate/black, and space grey makes the two-tone worse. I'm glad I have a case to cover the back so I don't have to look at it.

So funny that there are threads on this. Because it's a female, I find it cute, but my god I can't help but laugh at it.

I'm a dude bro with a white/silver 5s. So you're saying I should just go ahead and embrace the fem? Ok, cool.

Female. Have always preferred black phones. Yeah, yeah this is Space Gray. I still consider it black since I have a case on.

I'm glad that the Space Gray 5S doesn't have a different colored ring. I'd get used to it, but I prefer how it blends in.

I was obsessing over the ring around the touch ID, I'm tired as I hardly got any sleep and my city doesn't have any demo models for me to look at. So F it. I changed my reserve to the Space Grey. Problem solved.

You'll probably get it much sooner too. I'm thinking about switch to the grey if my phone doesn't ship this week.

Please tell me there is a little shimmer at least.

Yah I was thinking about that too! I will miss the silver in a way. Its nice n classy. But so is the grey :)

"It's the weird colour scheme that freaks me. Every time you try to operate one of these weird black controls, which are labeled in black on a black background, a small black light lights up black to let you know you've done it."

I'll take shimmer in my nail polish, not on my phone. It doesn't shimmer at all. It is beveled so if I look at it from different angles with overhead lighting you can see the ring ... I guess.

If you want contrast then I would suggest the silver or gold ones. I don't see the white as girly. It's all personal preference. Get the one you like.

I think there is a little shimmer, depending on the lightning. The whole home button is glossy and shiines when angled against a light source.

i originally wanted the gold as soon as i saw pictures of it all over the web...but for some reason when it got closer to the time of making a decision it was silver....silver to me is just so polished and looks the best especially with the chrome finger id ring....space grey was always my 3rd option...when i finally went into the apple store to pick mine up and actually saw all 3 in person the gold was the most disappointing to me and i was amazed at the space grey when i saw it...the only thing that kept me from switching from my silver to the space grey was i could not get over how cheesy the finger id button looked even the ring around the button...sticking with my silver and not having any second thoughts...
