For all you people worried about dropping their iPhone's, I don't about AT&T, but in the Netherlands (where I live) T-Mobile offered me insurance for €6 a month and it covers me against all drops or anything; and I will get a new phone within 4 hours.

I like scratch protection and grippiness.

But I like a smaller phone better! So no case for me.

Besides, a scratched plain iPhone (and you'd have to look to find scratches) looks better than an iPhone in a scratched case :p And cases add their own signs of friction/wear anyway.

No point in keeping the phone scratchless is you'll never let out to see it!

What I WOULD do is if my iPhone ever gets really, really badly beat up, to the point where small children point at me and laugh, then I might add a case to hide the damage. Maybe.

I have the shield from Best Skins Ever, mainly because it gives the iPhone a better grip. And sometimes I put it in an iPod Sock.

What I need now is a case to put my iPhone in when I go workout. Any suggestions?

I have mine in a Sena Wallet slim case. I love it. Now, it's just my keys and phone in my pocket and nothing more.

Because im just really paranoid about keeping all my expensive stuff in perfect shape, i got a hardshell case from the apple store a couple days ago for my iPhone 3G. I was just wondering how many people are using cases on there 3G's. I know many people didn't case the original iPhone, i think that was because it was aluminum they felt it wasn't really needed. But with the new plastic backs, i just want to say if people have actually decided to case there iphone's this time around.

I've got a leather case which protects it very well..have a screen protector as well..

the iphone 3g screen is made of plastic not glass

i currently have a screen protector on it that is used for psp's. i just custom fitted it to the iphone screen and has worked well so far

last time i check the screen in glass? or else everybody's iphone would have busting up fronts without screen protector and thats simply not the case. and from pictures of ppl who do manage to shatter their screen to pieces it looks glass to me the way it shatters.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5C1 Safari/525.20)

I had a belkin silicone sleeve. Kept it on fir a week but never liked it. Don't think it does it any good as the more times goes on the looser the rubber gets and dirt will find it's way in.
I've got one scratch on the back of mine going right through the apple sign but apart from that it's in top nick and I'm staying naked !

I dont intend to put one on mine if i do actually get one (waiting on connection issues to be fixed) but i just have one question. How delicate is the iPhone, i dont mean will it survive a drop because there is no way i would ever drop my phone. How will it hold up by just leaving it in your pocket unprotected and will it scratch like that? I'm just still a little scarred from how delicate the 1 Gen. Nano's were.

If at work, I have a holster type

If I am out on the bevvy, I have a full rubber type cover

what's a bevvvy?

i switched from the Flick that i posted about earlier (damn thing scratched the back of my 3G:mad:) and have been using Power Support's Air Jacket for the back and Film for the front. Least form-factor-destroying of all cases that i've seen.

but i think, despite spending ~$100 on 3 different cases, i'll eventually end up ridin' dirty with my 3G (naked:))

I'm using the Slider right now which is a highly recommended case everywhere and i think Switcheasy is sending me the CapsuleNeo to try it out for them (not that i don't keep it lol)
