That's my issue. A buddy of mine got me into the "real" watch world, and it's kind of hard to look at the base Apple Watch once you have a few nice watches. The Ultra is the only watch that has a bit of style. The band selection is terrible, though.
I'm the opposite, my mechanical watches just seem so useless after wearing an Apple Watch. I have almost gone to pay for something with my mechanical watches, as I am so used to in on my Apple Watch.
I already did. My Apple Watch Ultra has very useful features but when i dress smart I use a Hamilton pilot watch.
Pretty much this. I have a couple of nice mechanical watches (Oris and Nomos) which each maybe get worn once a year if I have occasion.

I have a nice collection of mechanical watches. For awhile I did wear the AW every day, but I missed my mechanical watches too much, so now I only wear the AW when I'm working out.

I don't think wearing either has to rule out the other. Different tools for different activities or occasions, nothing wrong with constantly switching between mechanical and digital.

Every time a new Ultra comes out I wear it non stop until I get bored then I start wearing my mechanical more. I do miss the features and metrics I get from the AW when I wear my mechanicals for the day etc.

I wouldn't go back to a mechanical watch. The smartwatch has far too much use and far too many features for me to go to a watch that only tells time. Since using the Apple watch, I realized that having a mini iPhone on your wrist is actually great. It's not tech overload, I'd be looking up the same stuff on my phone, this just makes it easier and faster.

I would buy a mechanical watch if I had someone to leave it to, like a son or a nephew, someone that could inherit it a few decades down the road. This is what I see as the only true value of a mechanical watch for me, knowing that it's a device that can last decades as opposed to an Apple watch so it can become a keepsake for someone. Other than that, I wouldn't consider one. They are too limited and I am not interested in buying a piece of jewelry for men.
