Tech 21 Case

Dropped my Iphone 6 at work while putting stuff in my locker from about 6ft high. It landed flat on the screen but thanks to my Tech 21 case nothing happened to it. :)

Dropped my iPhone 6 on carpeted floor last night. I was walking down the hall to the bedroom and rammed my hand into the door way sending my phone flying in the air landing facedown on the floor. No injuries to the phone or my hand. I have a Case-Mate Naked Tough and film screen protector on it.

Nope, not dropped my 6 yet. I take good care of my phones.

Although I do have a decently protective case just in case. :)
You spend a fortune on a phone that looks better, but it's weak and needs to be wrapped in a huge awkward case.

Dropped my 1st gen and 3GS, caseless, a few times, no damage. They just don't make things like they used to.

I was getting out of my car, had my iPhone 6 in my right hand and clipped my arm on the door as I was closing it. Phone dropped about three feet and bounced around a couple times on asphalt.
Time stopped. Everything was in slow motion.
I picked it up and not a mark on the phone.
Granted, I also use a case.
The case has a tiny scuff.

Haven't dropped mine yet. I got a case on it, but I'm still extra cautious with all of the complaints about how hard the 6 Plus is to hold. I'm becoming pretty used to holding it now.

Dropped my i6 on its first outing, on concrete about 4 ft. Just picked it up and didn't want to look at it.. UGH! I handed it to my coworker to examine and he said, "man, your phone looks fine, but the case is no good, all scuffed up and ripped". I examined it further, and yes, no damage whatsoever to the phone, but the case was shot. It had the blk apple leather case on it, now it's got a spigen neo-hybrid to encapsule it.

I've never dropped a phone before, however I just got my new 6 Plus tonight after trading in my 6, and I almost dropped it trying to do a one handed passcode unlock. This phone is definitely getting a case.

I am absolutely shocked with the number of people who have dropped their expensive device!! Didn't expect to to be this high!!

I have owned iPhone 3G, 4, 5, 5S, 6, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S5, Lumia 630 phone and lucky enough to have never dropped any of them. I have dropped once an iPod classic, actually it just came out of my pocket as I was running and that was years ago..... before the original iPhone. And of course it survived, with a minor scratch.

Mine slipped out of my hand onto my computer. It has a tiny bit on the corner where the color rubbed off the phone, but that's about it. It's barely noticeable, but I cried a little on the inside. There were no dents on my computer or phone. This phone is slippery as ****. I've almost dropped it at least 3 times. I feel like I need a case in order for it to survive.

My 6 in a black leather Apple case has been knocked off my nightstand twice onto the carpet floor, no damage. The rest of our house is hard wood or tile, so it's always in my pocket or in a death grip.

My colleague got a new iPhone 6. Showed it to me, it was new in the box. Tried to take it out of box, and within first 10 seconds, boom, on the floor. Luckily I was sitting down and it didn't fall too far.

iPhone 6 is slippery, no doubt about it. I found it slippery, and the people I know who bought one say the thin design plus rounder edges make it much easier to drop.

I only dropped my iPhone 6 once, unfortunately on a concrete floor.
It landed on the edge where the headphone jack is. The body is a bit deformed and the metal looks fractured above und under the headphone jack. The display glas popped out of the body and when I tried to push it back, it cracked in the upper part of the display.
Because of the deformation, the display glass doesn't even fit in the body anymore.
I guess, at apple, I would have to pay the max. price for repairs that are not covered by guarantee (in GER 297,10€), right? (i do not have apple care)

I am aware that it was completely my own fault but I am a bit disappointed about how fragile the iPhone 6 seems to be. I dropped my iPhone 5 several times with and without a case at it only has one or two scratches in the aluminum frame.

Some scary stuff in this thread  I was always against using a case, but damn, so many damaged iPhones.

I'll drop it in about 8 months after that newness / infatuation period has worn off. But I've never broken / shattered / heavily dented my phone before. I have good grip practice from... from... gripping other things.

Are you female?

Just today 3 year old dropped my wife's 6, in s Spiegen case, face has a crack. Bummer.

What kind of spigen case?

Yes, on my first full day of ownership. I was out walking in the lanes near my home, testing out the camera. A horsefly landed on my face; out of pure instinct I swatted it away with the same hand in which I was holding my 6 Plus. It hit the ground screen first, landing on some stones with a loud 'Tock!' Fortunately, I'd fitted a screen protector the same night I bought it and that took all the damage.

Previously the phone had been in the Apple leather case, now it's in an iBlason Armorbox. The fly went on to bite me on the leg, instead.
