Screen Changing Colors During Game

It was all fine until last night.

I was playing Battlefield bad company 2 using windows xp on boot camp. Suddenly the colors on the screen got all messed up. Blues, purples, yellows, greens... a mess. The computer was running hot after 4hours of playing. I changed servers to see if it would get better and for some reason it did but every time I'd enter a vehicle and the camera changes, it seems like a tint was put on the top of the screen and everything would go green or black, depending on the vehicle... very weird...

I'll try to test it again, I was the first time it happened. Yesterday was the 14th day I have it. (coincidence?)

Any suggestions?

Some heat, nothing huge. A few vibrations from the hard drive but that can be easily remedied. Overall working great.

Nah. No drugs. Just angry for the 2000 expended dollars.

So return it and get an HP Envy :)

Just remember this moment. Your posts. Your answers here. Saying "pure perfection". I really hope that you don't come back here again with another "kind of answer" and most important, editting your present posts.

I'm sorry you're having trouble, but that doesn't mean should be wishing for others to have issues too.

And mine's been running quiet well, day in and day out since April 24.

- As I said, I need an Apple. I'm Apple developer. The pitty of all, it's the 2010 problematic. Take a look at the forum. It's not just one or two post bout problems. And look on desktop forum too. You'll see.
- About "wishing others to have issues...", read again please. I said "I really hope that you don't come back here again with another "kind of answer"...".
This means, that I hope that none of you got this problem NEVER, cause this will mean that it's not a general problem, and as I said too, this will give me (and others) the opotrunity to get a good working MBP.

Being a bit childish, no?

- Take it as you want, man. ;)

edit:

Oh! And eventually, I'm pretty sure that we'll have to create a new poll, to get new results from same posters. Fresh update on data, will be needed.

Scratch from production line:

and now, the wide spread freezing thing (wich I'm pretty shure that it's a problem for ALL the i5/7 machines, all of them without exception).

So, taking it back soon.

Problem is, that I'm a developer, and cause all those problems on Rev A, I don't trust them anymore. So what I get now to develop?
Mac mini? iMac?
There have been problems too with the new iMac, isn't it?

Maybe a mini is a good idea for now, and when Rev B comes, will be time to get a MBP...

What are you talking about?

I went with the major issues option. My system completely froze after two days of use, then when I restarted it, it sat on the home Apple loading screen with a spinning globe for 6 hours. Then it proceeded to shut off after every 30 seconds. It was so hard to experience my first Mac for only 2 days then have it pulled away so quickly. I can't wait for the new system to ship!

Which did you have?

The majority of people will get perfect machines, you will not hear these people. The small number of those with problems will be vocal about it. So just because you hear a vocal few doesn't mean the vast majority of machines are faulty.

Mine is complete perfection. I love it. The hr screen rocks, and not a single dead or stuck pixel. Not a scratch on the aluminum either.

:apple: +1 been awsome, I guess the guy who said ALL have freezing issues must just have some bad luck. and if there were freezing issues wouldn't be more of a software issue then hardware, except maybe if it was over heating.

Only problem I had was my nvidia gfx was stuck on permanently. I ended up reformatting and reinstalling OSX. Haven't had that issue occur again.

Perfect machine. No problems at all!

I originally had some WiFi dropouts that I suspected was the fault of the MacBook Pro, but after having switched the channel on my router from 5 to 11 it's been flawless. Definitely a router problem!

So happy for this laptop. 15" 2,4 Core i5 HR-Glossy

You have much to learn about statistics

There are two kinds of people these forums, mac nerds and people with issues.
The mac nerds are the ones with no issues and the ones with issues come here to find help.
The normal happy user would not even consider checking into a forum for help or se if other people have issues as well.

Take myself for an example, the only times i'm visiting Nokia mobile phone forum, is when I have problems. Same goes when I have problems with other stuff, then I search the web, etc..

Btw, 21 of 44 posts in this thread is made by people that joined macrumors in 2010, so I guess 47% of all active members on this forum joined in 2010..

But I would say this site differs in that it is also a rumor tech blog... thing

it draws other people as well, who might care to venture to the forums

Hey Chicken-Little - wait, I mean Lightworker:

Zero problems. I read the entire threads on the other forum that you posted. Perhaps a hard drive problem, but then again, I replaced my stock HD with an SSD before I even turned the machine on once. Sounds like swapping the drive fixes the issue, so at worst, you have that hassle but its far from turning your MBP into a boat anchor.

In one of those threads, you said "This have been my first MBP. And probably it's going to be the last, cause I'm gonna think for a iMac or a Mini, cause for developing, it's pretty enough." A fine idea. Sure sounds like you'll be happier without all the issues you've had with the MBP, try another platform.

Poll is kinda flawed because people are subjective in their assessments. Whats deemed to be a problem for someone might be peaches and rainbows for another

Personally my i7 17inch with AG screen has only had a couple issues, yellow screen tint. I exchanged it twice, and the 2nd machine I got had a tiny dent in the chasis above the battery indicator lights along the edge. That ones screen was tinted too. Both those computers came with Hitachi 500gb 5400rpm drives. The third machine i got was in mint condition the screen seems ok for now, however this one came with a Seagate 5400rpm drive. This leads me to believe that its from a different production run possibly built in another factory. The track pad def has a more clicky feel to it and is more audible when you click it.

The machine just feels totally different then the first two I had, not in a bad way but its just different and very noticeable. Im not sure what Apple is doing with quality control but these last few years it seems like they have dropped the ball a bit with the products they are pumping out.

Looking at the threads regarding thermal paste application, you can see first hand how lazy the manufacturing process has gotten. I hope someone emails those photos directly to Steve Jobs and he flys out there to deal with it. Those kinds of things are unacceptable for the price we all pay for these machines.

None so far. I absolutely love my MBP, but I've only had it for about 24 hours now, so I guess I haven't had much time with it yet.

One thing that annoys me is the automatic backlight adjustment, but I can turn that off somehow.
